KIDS FOUNDATION - Diether Ocampo
The group Diet along w/ Rica - BANAUE, IFUGAO
~~ this was the reason we came for, to give these things to the 200 plus students of Cambulo Elementary School. they were donations by commercial companies and also some were contributed by individuals. but this was a project largely supported and funded by Diether and his partners, Karina, Egay and the rest. i once said that this guy (Diet), amazes me with the kind of heart he has for the less fortunate. it made me proud to have seen him come from nothing, and now, be and most of all, SHARE everything. i am also encouraged by the way he gets people together for a better cause. if i try to explain everything that i know about him, i will not have enough space and probably, might bore you to death for what i see, will probably be hard to translate into writing. so, here it is, the best that i could make out of what this guy was able to make everyone do for every child in need of a mere bag filled with school supplies. i was blessed to be one of those people to hand them to those kids. and while i was doing this act, i remembered all the things i had at home and started thinking how nice it would have been to give them at least an extra soap, shampoo, towel, snack out of a dozen of them that i have in stock. it made me realize that what Andy Stanley said in one of his preachings that maybe we should start asking not what we don't have, rather, why is it that we have more than enough? he said it's because God wants us to share. Andy had to remind me what God had left for us to live by, in His Word. generosity really does something to the soul. and it's good. --- Rica Peralejo
