BoA's Hit Song Created into TV Drama in Japan

Singer BoA's ninth single "Shine We Are" which nabbed the number one spot on the Japanese Oricon Chart in May, 2003, will be created into a TV drama.
AVEX, one of the largest recording companies in Japan, said it has decided to create 100 short dramas--based on the songs of the artists it manages--to celebrate its 20th founding anniversary. The dramas will be aired starting April 7 on Asahi TV.
"Otome" is a two-minute drama that will be broadcast from Monday to Thursday. The dramas will bring together some of AVEX's biggest hit songs with various scenarios.
"I Can't Always be a Dreaming Girl," a hit song by Aiga and Nanase, will be broadcast on April 7 as the first part of the drama series, followed by "Tomorrow Again" by ELT, "Love2000" by Hitomi and "Shine We Are" by BoA.
AVEX, which celebrates its 20th founding anniversary on April 11, will also release a complilation album entitled "20 Years 200 Songs" as part of its celebration projects. AVEX has released a total of 200 million albums including single albums over the past two decades.
BoA: scheduled to guest in “The Star Show”

BoA will be back on Korean television in no time because she will be one of the relay guests in the new SBS show called “The Star Show,” which is planned to start airing on April 28 at 11:10 pm. The show is hosted by Choi Soo Jong and Park Soo Hong.
“The first guest was decided to be Shim Hyung Rae. After him, BoA, Kim Yung Ah and others will follow,” said a production staff member of “The Star Show” in a phone interview with Starnews on the 17th. The staff member also shared that top stars who are rarely seen on TV are planned to be invited to the said talk show.
This is really a great opportunity for fans to see BoA in an hour-long talk show because she has not been visible in local television for a long time now because of her busy overseas schedule.
BoA's 'Valenti' to be Featured in Japanese Musical

BoA's hit song "Valenti" will be featured in a Japanese musical.
Japan's leading entertainment company Avex said it will begin producing a musical entitled "Pieces of the Heart" to celebrate its 20th founding anniversary.
The musical, which will be staged at the Aoyama Theater in Tokyo from September 15 to 29, revolves around a heartbroken heroine who isolates herself from the meaningless relationships of today's modern society and takes off on a futuristic journey that centers around a mysterious object called "Pieces of the Heart."
The musical will feature 21 songs that have been carefully selected by Avex. They include hit songs performed by Avex artists over the past 20 years. It is the first Japanese musical to feature only the hit songs of artists from a single entertainment company.
The songs include past hits by Namie Amuro, Ayumi Hamasaki, Kumi Koda, Exile, Ami Otsuda and Ami Suzuki.
Avex also selected "Valenti" from BoA's second studio album, which sold 1.5 million copies in 2003.
Throughout the performance period, Avex plans to exhibit costumes, accessories and trophies of Avex artists.
Singer BoA has announced her plans to enter the U.S. music market.
BoA's management agency SM Entertainment said BoA will make her debut and officially release an album in the United States.
BoA will hold a press conference under the slogan "Best of Asia, Bring on America!" at the Imperial Palace Hotel in Seoul on September 10. She will discuss how she has been preparing to make her debut in the U.S. as well as her future plans. The slogan "Best of Asia, Bring on America" was inspired by BoA's initials.
Prior to the press conference, SM Entertainment announced its plans to establish a branch office in the United States.

BoA debut single for the American market Eat You Up will be releasedonline as a digital single on 14th October and subsequently as a single album on 11th November in America. The full Eat You Up MV will be outon 7th October. BoA is also planning to release her full-length englishalbum in early 2009.
BoA and her representative from Sm Entertainment had reassured the fansthat a broken left arm was too small a hurdle in her scheduled plansfor the US market.
The doctors had ordered her to rest, but she ispersistent to do everything as planned. The recording process is nearcompletion and promotional activities are on schedule.
She is stated to appear in interviews and talk shows in addition to completing her album recording.
The MV for Eat You Up is scheduled to release for October 7, 2008.
BoA's U.S. Debut Song to be Distributed to 30 Countries

BoA's U.S. debut song "Eat You Up" will be unveiled to the world through some 300 websites in 30 countries around the world. BoA's management agency SM Entertainment said the single will be released globally on October 21. In the United States, the song will be introduced on various websites including I-Tunes, Amazon, I-Music and MySpace. It will also be distributed as a mobile phone ringtone through AT&T and T-Mobile.
The song will be distributed in Korea starting October 22 through major music portals including Melon, Dosirak and Cyworld. The song will also be distributed to some 30 countries including China, Japan, Thailand, England, France, Germany, Italy, Australia and New Zealand.
