the pushtuns themselves hate the taliban although the taliban are mostly pushtuns. thats why taliban was not only kicked out but could not have a foothold in afghanistan till today.

Again, like Robotech said, the foreigners are getting the support from the warlords of the Northern Alliance, and effectively, the so call area controlled by allied forces is effectively, Northern Alliance ground, and KABUL.  Ever wonder why there had been countless skirmishes between allied forces and taliban 'remnants' all over Afghan?  It's because the allied forces DO NOT control any ground apart from the cities.  Why can't they control the ground that they concurred?  Guess....

skirmishes does not equate foothold. The taliban cannot even take on the allieds effectively. Thats why they need to resort to terrorist tactics.
If the taliban is so popular, why would they need to kill afghans and terrorising them? Why would they need to base themselves in Pakistan? Please explain.

Well, Taliban is of course not popular now. We hope that Afghanistan a wartorn country will recover from years of terror by multiple forces... be it Russians, etc.

The talibans operate in only less than 1/20 of the country, using terrorists tactics against afghans and allieds. Most of their operations incvolve destruction of schools.

Darn it, its laughable really ....

The ones doing the patrol are Afghan militia & Afghan troops. So they're the ones that actually brave enough to patrol in dangerous & hazardous provinces.

As for Allied troops, they're in their barracks!

Taliban terrorised the Allied forces by ambushing convoys & detablising the entire Afghanistan through weekly bombings ... even Allied forces can't stop it!

Kid, let's just use some brain ok?  The Taliban dispersed of from major cities, and now popping up like 'ghost', ambushing allied patrols.  Why is it?  Let me teach you something.  Because if you control the city, you're a big a clear target, and that makes the work of the allied forcese so much easier!  Plain and simple.  See how Ho Chih Minh fight?  Now can you understand????!!!!

the major operations by the taliban are destroying schools and klling teachers. they also ambush afghans because they are scared of allied patrols.
So far, taliban is only active in 2 provinces in afghanistan and getting their butts kicked along the way.
