Manchester United Deal For Zoran Tosic Still To Be Completed
United are yet to complete a deal for Serbian winger Tosic after salary negotiations break down.
Manchester United are still waiting to complete a deal for FK Partizan winger Zoran Tosic, after negotiations between United and the player's agent ended in stalemate.
It was expected that the Serbian midfielder would be making the move during the January transfer window and Tosic is still hopeful that this can be achieved.
The 21-year-old winger had a medical at Old Trafford earlier this week and The Red Devils have already applied for a work permit for the Serbian international.
Zoran Pavlovic, the player's agent, has told the Belgrade Blic Daily that the wage that United are offering the player is too little for a player of Tosic's calibre, and he is bargaining for more money.
United have offered a basic wage of 150,000 Euros (£135,000) per year, but Pavlovic still deems this offer to little for his player and has demanded that United up their offer.
Tosic is however keen to get the deal sorted and make the move to Old Trafford, saying, "I still think we'll reach an accord with United, so I haven't considered any other team."
The Manchester based club have also been linked with Tosic's team mate Adem Ljajic, a 17-year-old attacking midfielder and look set to tie up a deal for both players before the January transfer window. |

'Mengecewakan apabila Arsenal, Liverpool cicir mata, anda sendiri turut buang mata'

Rooney cleared over Risgard incident
Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney will not face any disciplinary action over his apparent stamp on Aalborg's Kasper Risgard during a Champions League clash at Old Trafford last week.
Risgard claimed in his post-match comments that the United striker had left "big marks" on his chest but UEFA decided not to charge Rooney after studying video evidence of the incident in the clubs' 2-2 draw.
The pair tangled after a tackle and Rooney appeared to land on the AaB midfielder's chest in the aftermath but UEFA ruled any contact was accidental rather than malicious.A spokesman said: "UEFA will not open any disciplinary proceedings against Wayne Rooney."
Risgard said the referee would have sent the United striker off if he had seen the incident during the match, but added it was all part and parcel of football after Rooney apologised after the game.
Rooney could have faced a suspension for part of the knockout stages had UEFA decided to take action.
Meanwhile, Manchester United star Cristiano Ronaldo will not face any disciplinary action after kicking out at Tottenham Hotspurs' Michael Dawson at the weekend.
Ronaldo was seen to aim a little flick at Dawson after being tackled in Saturday's goalless Premier League draw at White Hart Lane.
Referee Mike Dean, who did not take action during the game, has looked at the incident but has not deemed it serious.
A Football Association spokesman said: "We contacted the referee, who confirmed he didn't see the incident at the time and, having reviewed footage, he has also confirmed he would not have sent the player off for violent conduct had he seen it.
"On that basis, no further action will be taken.'' |
