FT Island's Lee Hongki's mistake that happened on the 29th at the '2008 SBS Gayo Daejun' is becoming a big topic to netizens.
Due to their '2008 FT Island - 2nd Island' concert on the 27th and 28th and their continuing end-of-the-year schedule, vocal Lee Hongki could not perform smoothly and keep up with the beats because of his strained throat. Lee Hongki's perplexed expression and his sighing was also caught on camera.
On the 30th, an official of FT Island's agency replied, "He himself is very ashamed since he could not show a good performance. I think it was unfair for him to sing three songs in a row, live, when he was even in a bad condition. Lee Hongki is now in the hospital to receive treatment."
Some netizens have said that "they lacked their professional appearance" while on the other hand, many netizens have said "showing the way that he was trying really hard was impressive" and "it's okay," trying to comfort him.

FT Island's rep stated:
Due to the concerts and busy end of year schedules, the members were extremely exhausted. Lee Hongki was affected the most and therefore was admitted into the hospital, where he will rest until January 1st. We will then head off to Japan to continue our promotions there.

me baru tgk tadi ... mmg dah lama dah me perati sore dia kalo time dia bz giler mmg out tune, maklum ler dia sowang aje lead vocalist.. ekceli member dia bleh sahut2 part2 dia tak leh tarik tu... silap2 mau rosak peti sore mcm Baek Ji Young sampai kena operation n direhatkan almost 1 year.. hope HK cepat sembuh...
