GEORGE TOWN: A 30-year-old nurse has lodged a police report against her husband for allegedly sodomising her at their home in Kampung Alma, Bukit Mertajam.

The woman claimed the latest incident which happened at about 10.30pm on Wednesday, was the third time her husband had committed the act.

She claimed the first two incidents happened last year.

The case is being investigated under Section 377 (C) of the Penal Code which carries a jail term of between five and 20 years and whipping for committing carnal intercourse against the order of nature.

Police have detained the 30-year-old factory worker husband.

The woman had complained of pain and difficulties in passing mo--tion following the alleged incident.

“We have sent the woman for a check-up and it was confirmed that there was fresh tear on her anus. We have also sent a forensic team to gather evidence in the house,” said a police spokesman.
