Manchester United linked with £25million Bayern Munich swoop

Manchester United Football Club have been linked with Franck Ribery.
DespiteBayern Munich insisting earlier this season that the Frenchinternational is not for sale, Sir Alex Ferguson remains a huge fan.
"He is fantastic," Ferguson said of Ribery.
"Heis always moving and incredible energy. He is always going forward butdefends a lot too. He would have no problem playing in England."
Itis believed the Reds could be ready to challenge Manchester City andChelsea for the forward, with an offer of £25million being mooted.

No handshake between Jose Mourinho and Sir Alex Ferguson after San Siro stalemate
Mourinho complained to the referee throughout the match but Fergie praised the Spanish official for his performance.
Fergie said: "Jose was complaining because the ref wasn't intimidated. That's what Jose wanted but I thought the ref was superb."
Mourinho said:"If the ref at Old Trafford gives as much protection to us as he did to United in this game, then we will be going through."
Mourinho failed to shake hands with Fergie at the final whistle but said there was no problem between the two of them.
He said: "My dugout is special. I have a door that lets me leave immediately. Yesterday I left Sir Alex a £300 bottle of wine at his hotel with a card saying I would see him after the game. I'm his friend and always close to him. There's no problem." |
