lau nak ubat sndiri pun,hentikan dulu pendarahan tu..lap bg kering.
then sapu ubat antiseptic mcm betadine. |

Selsema Kucing
semua kucing kat rumah aku dah kena virus ni....pastu diorang pon dah kurang makan (mmg kurus sgt....), pastu selalu batuk2 (kalau baru lepas makan konfem kuar isi..), bersin berjuta2 kali, hidung selalu berhingus dan paling obvious taik mata penuh kat mata...mak aku ade taruk ubat cream kat mata kucing tu tapi makin teruk lak jadinya..
so, aku nak tanya, betul ke kalau anak kucing yg kena selsema dah tak boleh sembuh? sbb akak aku ade baca kat internet dia ckp kalo kitten yg kena selsema dia takkan boleh sembuh dan akan jadi pembawa virus tu...tul ke?
sekarang diorang tido jer....macam mana nk buat ni? (nk bwk jumpa vet tapi poket kering... ) |

selalu kalau kucing akak kena selsema just pegi vet beli ubat selsema dan antibiotik pas tu alhamdulillah elok. yang selalu kena ialah si lucky ni walau pun dah di vaksinkan |

kitten mmg plg senang dan kerap kene selsema...
especially kalau yg terbiar,yg x mndapat susu ibu secukupnya sbb susu ibu tu pebting utk imunisasi dia.
kalau kene selsema yg melibatkan virus ni,mmg tiada penawar walau beri antibiotik skalipun
pengalaman ni me dh penah kena..x cukup dgn sedih menanggung kematian tu,kena pulak kondem ngan org
mmg bertimpa-timpa sungguh! mnde dh lepas berlaku tp me xkan lupe smpai bila2.. |

Dulu Bubu before kena vaccine pun kena selsema.....mata dia merah, bengkak and berair je....
Yana ingatkan sakit mata. Bila Yana tunjuk kat vet assistant kat machang nie, dia kata selsema....lepas bagi ubat air yg dia rekomen, dua hari okay....
Sekrg nie, anak yg empat ekor yg tak vaccine lagi dah kena selsema.
Rasanya dpt dari Ruru sebab sebelum Ruru dtg, anak2 lain ok.
Mula2 Che'Lan kena, mata berair, sepet je....then Che'We. Soh seh soh seh hidung dia....nak baring pun nampak tak selesa...kesian....sekrg che'mot pun kena gak....

What is cat flu?
Cat flu is a general term used to describe common set of symptoms of the upper respiratory tract.
What causes cat flu?
Cat flu is caused several disease-causing organisms. The most common causes are Feline Herpes virus (FHV), feline calicivirus (FCV) feline reovirus, bordetella bronchiseptica & feline chlamydophilla.
FHV & FCV are by far the most common cause of cat flu, being responsible for 80% of cases. FHV typically is the more severe of the two.
What are the symptoms of cat flu?
Many of the causes of cat flu have overlapping symptoms, however some causes have individual symptoms. For example, mouth ulcers are often seen in a cat with of feline calicivirus, whereas eye ulcers are seen with feline herpes virus. Cats with FCV may also develop a limp.
- Sneezing
- Nasal discharge
- Eye discharge
- Mouth ulcers
- Eye ulcers
- Fever
- Loss of appetite
How is cat flu spread?
Direct contact: Infection is passed from an sick or carrier cat via eye, nasal & mouth discharges.
Indirect contact: Contaminated food bowls, bedding etc. Calicivirus is resistant to many disinfectants & can live in the environment for long periods of time.
How is cat flu diagnosed?
Your veterinarian will perform a physical examination of your cat & may make a diagnosis based on presenting symptoms. He may take a throat or eye swab to send off to a laboratory for testing.
How is cat flu treated?
Treatment depends on the cause of the cat flu. There are no drugs to treat viral infections & supportive care is necessary. This includes keeping the nose clear of discharge. A stuffed up cat will often lose it's appetite, therefore it is of utmost importance that you do everything you can to encourage your cat to eat & drink. If your cat refuses to eat/drink then please seek veterinary advice immediately.
Even if the cause is viral, antibiotics may be prescribed to protect against secondary bacterial infections.
How is cat flu prevented?
Vaccinating your cat will protect it against FHV & FCV. These are covered in the regular F3 vaccination.
There is a vaccination available for Chlamydophila felis. There are side effects associated with a small percentage of cats including lethargy, lameness, depression, anorexia, fever & therefore it is only recommended for high risk situations. Proper hand washing & changing of your clothing after handling other cats, especially high risk cats such as those in a shelter should be practiced before handling your own cats.
Can I catch colds & flu from my cat?
No, it is not possible to catch a cold or flu from your cat, nor can your cat catch a cold or flu from you.
Carriers:
In the cases of FHV & FCV, once recovered, the cat will be a carrier. This means they will show no outward signs of infection, may shed the virus intermittently or continually, exposing other cats to infection.

sinus kucing....macam kasim aku....bwk g vet bagi ubat selsema...nampak mcm dah ok la...tapi kekdg tu bersin jugak....persian cat paling senang kena sinus... |

btw, kenapa bontot kucen yg kena flu ni mcm kotor2? pastu bulu diorang pon dah tak fluffy dah... mcm basah2 jer....

or wetfud..
ni lau psl selsema je,xde efek pemakanan pun..
just cure ngan antibiotik lah. |

yg lain, lepas baru ubat semalam, ade la sket improve selera makan diorang....tapi tak sehat sepenuhnya lagi....

actually dah gi klinik haiwan dah....
pastu bli ubat selsema, antibiotik, ngan susu utk kucing...ni utk yg kitten tu sbb rasenye dia x cukup susu ibu....cepat sgt putus susu coz ibu dia merenyam sgt nk gi mengawan....tu yg dia tak imun ngan virus2 ni.....
skarang tinggal lagi 2 je kitten....harap2 2 ekor tu dpt survivor...
wpon 2 ekor dah mati, smalam mimi baru je beranak dan dpt lagi 4 ekor kucen... wahh....gumbiranya.. |

saja nak kongsi pengalaman bulan lepas kucing nutty nama billy selsema.. pastu mungkin demam.. badan susut.. ada selera makan tp x leh nak makan.. kesian tgk.. hari2 susah hati.. dah tuh jangkit kat kitty lain..bawak billy g jabatan haiwan cheras, masih cam tu jugak..sampai kena masuk air.. setiap hari syringe billy ngn bubur ikan (ikan rebus campur air suam) air pun syringe jugak.. 3 minggu pastu baru bleh makan sendiri.. skrang ni nutty plak paksa dia makan banyak2.. dua kitty yang dijangkiti tu mati.. |

Selepas Yana bawak balik che'ruru, dua tiga hari kemudian anak2 kecik yg belum vaksin semua dpt selsema. Che'Lan and che'we especially nampak teruk mula2.....
Che'we sekrg tak mau makan - hidung asyik poh peh macam manusia....yana dok bagi vitamin paste...paksa gak dia minum air...
che'mot yg teruk sgt sekrg - Yana rasa che'mot ada FIV kot....dah 2 bulan Yana bela sejak amik dia berkeliaran kat tpt kerja tapi dia tak gemuk2 jugak....hari tu ingat nak mati dah che'mot tapi dia nampak better. tapi skrg dah kena virus nie tak tau la badan dia leh bertahan ke tak....badan pun panas....sedih tgk che'mot...
bawak ke vet, vet assistant tu bagi injection kat semua yg kena selsema. che'lan nampak ok - walaupun masih bengkak mata, still kuat makan and bleh lari2....
mlm nie che'we ngn che'mot tido dlm bilik - tgk lah macammana....tak harap umur che'mot akan panjang...
