Manchester United wing wizard Cristiano Ronaldo almost missed the train to London today - and it didn't go unnoticed by boss Sir Alex Ferguson.

The Portugal international arrived at Wilmslow station at 3.10pm, just one minute before United's train south was due to depart at 3.11pm.

Sir Alex's side play Fulham tomorrow in a must-win match if the Red Devils are to put their title charge back on track after last week's mauling by Liverpool.

Luckily for Ronaldo - and team-mate Rio Ferdinand, who was also running late - all squad members boarded the train as planned.

Ferguson was no doubt preparing a blast of his famous hairdryer treatment as he appeared to be constantly checking his watch on the platform.

I really fail to be able to understand what is happenig to us at the moment!

After gettin a romping by liverpool last week you would of thought we would go all guns blazing at Fulham but also be experienced in the way we do so! Paul Scholes getting sent off in the first 10 minutes for a mistake more common with a reserve player! it's a complete shambles right now!

Now we have lost 2-0 to Fulham and as it stands if Chelsea and Liverpool both win we are only a point ahead at the top and considering our frame of mind right now and the quality of our performances i cant see us doing too well in the title run in!

The players are just lettin it all slip away now! i fear that our dreams of a quintuple are slowly flying out the window with our great performances we have seen the team provide throughout the season! Bearing in mind our league performances and now position i cant see us doing too well in the Champs league, its frightening to know we are in a semi-final aswell!

It is on such a knife edge now! SAF really needs to sort them out and get them back on track or we will end up bottling everything which would turn probobly what could of been the most memorable season of all time to the worst!
