LIVERPOOL: Jamie Carragher mengesahkan dia pulih tidak lama selepas pertembungan mengerikan dengan rakan sepasukan John Flanagan ketika menentang Arsenal kelmarin, dan memuji Kenny Dalglish kerana menyatukan skuad itu.

Carragher dirawat di padang selama enam minit selepas kepalanya berlaga dengan Flanagan di Stadium Emirates, dan terpaksa diberi bantuan pernafasan oksigen dan alat penyokong leher ketika diusung keluar padang. Bekas pertahanan England itu pulih tidak lama kemudian dan sempat menyaksikan 10 minit terakhir perlawanan dramatik itu, tatkala Dirk Kuyt menyempurnakan sepakan penalti untuk mengikat kedudukan 1-1 selepas Robin van Persie menjaringkan gol juga menerusi penalti. Carragher dijangka akan turun menentang Birmingham Sabtu ini. "Secara jujur, saya tidak mengingatinya.

Sebaik masuk ke bilik persalinan, saya rasa saya tiada apa-apa masalah," kata Carragher kepada laman web Liverpool.

"Saya dapat kembali menyaksikan 10 minit terakhir perlawanan dan saya gembira dapat meraikan sama dengan rakan-rakan selepas Dirk menjaringkan gol untuk memberikan kita satu mata."

Rekod liga Dalglish menentang empat pasukan teratas sejak menerajui semula Anfield ialah tiga kemenangan, seri sekali dan tiada kalah, selepas keputusan seri kelmarin menambah kepada kemenangan ke atas Manchester United, Manchester City dan Chelsea. Dan dia melakukannya tanpa khidmat Fernando Torres yang berharga 50 juta pound (RM245.6 juta), dan Carragher percaya sejak ketibaan Dalglish skuad itu semakin mantap.

If manchester City win the FA Cup and finish 5th, then the team that finsihes 6th gets the Europa league spot instead of the team that loses the FA Cup. So Liverpool can get the Europa League by either finishing 5th (automatic EL place) or finishing 6th with Manchester City winning the FA Cup and finishing 5th.

This seems probable but City have the easier schedule than Spurs so I expect City to make top 4. Spurs have the edge over Liverpool for the 5th spot because Liverpool are behind them in points and have played two more games. Spurs do have to play City, Liverpool and Arsenal but I don’t expect them to lose all 3 and Liverpool win all their remaining games, not with their injuries at present.

The Europa league spots are allocated to the 5th placed team, League Cup and FA Cup winners.
1 - 5th placed team is confirmed.
2 - If the League Cup winner had already qualified for the Europa Cup via finishing in 5th place, or
if they qualify for the Champions League via finishing in the top 4 places,
then the 6th placed team will replace the 2nd Europa League berth. This applies to the FA Cup Winner as well.
3 - If both the League Cup and FA Cup Winners had qualifed via the above rules, then the 7th placed team will replace the 3rd berth.

For instance, this season, Birmingham had qualifed for the Europa Cup by winning the League Cup.
If Stoke or Bolton win the FA Cup, they will qualify for the tournament. Unless, if Man United or Man City win the Cup, the 6th placed team will get the 2nd spot since both clubs are certain of finishing in the CL or Europa league qualifying spots via the league standings.
That leaves the 5th spot. That's why Liverpool are so desperate to get the 5th spot..
