Back in 2012, Kim Jong Kook was a guest on the episode of "1 VS 100." In the show, Jong Kook discussed his future plans where marriage was concerned. At that time, his co-star from "Running Man," HaHa had just tied the knot with Byul.
"When HaHa got married, I was shocked. My best friends Cha Tae Hyun and Jang Hyuk are both married. Sometimes, they bring their wives and children when we get together. When that happens, Hong Kyung Min and myself feel so left out," stated Jong Kook as reported by AllKPop, adding, "I will definitely get married before I turn 40."
However, this statement made by Jong Kook is completely different from his recent interview. After Jong Kook's close friend in the industry, Ahn Jae Wook, tied the knot, the "Running Man" star confessed he may soon get married by the age of 45.
"Jae Wook hyung should've gotten married a long time ago. But now that he's married, I'll prepare myself too and get married before I reach his age [45]," said Jong Kook in a report by Soompi.
Fans of the "Running Man" star can only hope that Jong Kook keeps his word this time around. If not, he may have to state that he'd get married by the age of 50. As for who he may marry, fans are still rooting for Kook's alleged ex-girlfriend, Yoon Eun Hye.
Jong Kook had never been vocal about the true nature of his relationship with Eun Hye. Yet, in an interview on "Healing Camp," Jong Kook stated that he had thought of Eun Hye as "his woman" during recordings.
"When we were recording, I would think of her as my woman. Within this, if a woman who was coupled up with me was being asked out by another man, I thought that I'd have to protect her," explained Jong Kook.
