Totally agree, O'shea was playing today after having a complete nightmare against liverpool, I think Ronaldo needs a kick up the backside he seems to think he can do what he wants on the pitch, To be honest if we can fetch around 70m for him, I think we should sell, I would rather see a real hard working right winger than someone who stays on the floor when tackled. Rooney, Scholes out for the 3 games against Villa, Sunderland and Spurs. Vidic will miss the Villa and Sunderland games, Things do not look good at all. I am ashamed of today, Fergie did get the team selection wrong again today..with both Rooney and Tevez on the bench, what the hell was he doing!
We were dreadful today,  and deserved absolutely nothing from the game,  in fact,  Fulham should have been well clear by half time,  our first half was the worst i've seen United in years, dreadful, dreadful, dreadful,  well done Fulham.

Ryan: Still in our hands ( muhsan aku dgn2 ayt2 cmnie )

Ten times title-winner Ryan Giggs was disappointed but defiant following United's second league defeat in a row.

TheWelshman rightly told MUTV that the Reds remain in control at the top of the Barclays Premier League, regardless of Liverpool's result on Sunday against Aston Villa and Chelsea's surprise Saturday reverse at Spurs, as welcome as it was.

"We didn’t expect that result... it’s better than them winning," said Ryan, after hearing of Chelsea's 0-1 slip-up.

"We’ve got to do our own job, not worry about the teams around us. It’s still in our hands."

That said, Giggs wasn't taking defeat at Fulham lightly, especially as it confirmed back-to-back defeats in the league for the first time since the 2004/05 season.

"We’re obviously disappointed with the result. After losing last weekend, we wanted to come here and put on a good performance.

"We didn’t do that in the first half - our passing was sloppy and our movement wasn’t good enough. We just couldn’t get it going, the tempo wasn’t good."

Ryan said the early dismissal of Paul Scholes was a plausible excuse for United's below-par opening, but he had no argument with referee Phil Dowd's decision.

"Scholesy’s sending off dealt us a double blow because we were down to ten men and Fulham were awarded a penalty. It was just instinct really – if you’reon the goal line, you’ll try and save it. He was unlucky to be the last man but it was a sending off."

Eventually United were able to regroup at the break and improve afterwards, thanks in no small part toEdwin van der Sar who, Ryan admits, "kept us in the game."

"Going a goal behind and down to ten men, we had to arrange our shape a little bit differently. We came out and played a lot better in the second half. We were on top, we created some good chances and their keeper made a couple of good saves. Had one of those efforts gone in then wecould have gone on to win it but it wasn’t to be.

"Some of our lads now go away for the international break. Hopefully we won’t have any injuries and we can get back on track against Villa."

Someone Reboot Ronaldo

Cristiano Ronaldo needs to break down his current system and reset himself.

His head is nowhere near the pitch. His attacking is indirect. His tantrums are ubiquitous. His emotions run completely unchecked. Where he once out-smarted most defenders, most now out-muscle him, sending the winger downward again into the whining spirals which mar his ever-declining reputation.

His free-kicks sail well off course. His runs to the byline are rare. The extempore cuts and shifts are gone. The sleight and trickery are gone, replaced with forecast, boastful, and inconsequential step-overs and leg fakes before usually passing square or backwards.

John O’ Shea is in the side—presumably—to pass sideways. Ronaldo is not!

The flight of confidence is true: It attacks the disposition in those it encounters with prevailing force of will. Arrogance is ***: It challenges those dispositions to return force in kind plus more. It demands unequal retribution. It bolsters the defending.

Ronaldo has none of what he needs and all of what he doesn’t.

He’s not happy. He’s immature. He blames teammates. He blames referees. He carries chips on each shoulder. He juggles grudges. He seethes angst. He exudes insecurity! The world gets it. Move on. Grow up.

The club he led to glory last year needs at least half of his ability and at most half of the immaturity. Its fans, ever scrambling to doggedly defend the reprobate, deserve respite and reassurance. They deserve to see their hero on song, not his villainous alter-ego, scowling and recalcitrant.

Last year, or the year prior, he was a man who knew he'd be great. Then the world agreed and made him great, exalting him PFA Player of the Year, European Player of the Year, and World Player of the Year. But now, despite capturing all of world football’s individual awards, he seems now somehow not to believe in himself anymore.

After six months of this emotional treacle, can no one within the walls at Old Trafford encourage a change to the 23 year-od? Can’t Alex Ferguson himself demand it? The Scot never shied from ego-management: Ince, Cantona, Hughes, Beckham—how is Ronaldo less deserving? Why is he immune?

A flying boot would affect him just the same. Ronaldo must’ve seized sizable leverage with his bi-yearly feigns at forays into Spanish football, because Ferguson is hesitant to ever discipline the boy in his side who needs it the most. Give Tosic a run-out. Hell, give Nani a run-out.

Perhaps Carlos Quieroz, former United number two and current Portugal manager, can speak with urgency in a language the winger will hear, understand, and adhere to.

Change for the winger Ronaldo is long overdue and must be swift before he completely undermines his stature in the world game that surely could not have peaked already?
