Adus...ketam oh ketam, bila hang nak sampai Austin or kita nak sampai rumah Dar...
Lately tak dak mood nak capture gambar, busy bebenor. Tapi jamu mata dengan masakan you all best jugak, meleleh ayaq liuq.
Sape2 boleh habaq apa dia makanan Penang selaian Laksa Penang, Rojak Penang, Popiah Goreng and Murtabak? Ye ke murtabak Penang mari?
Sebabnya Malaysian sini suka benor buat gathering ikut theme negeri. Last month kita orang buat Thai Theme. Next week buat Penang Theme pulak. I tak tau ler masak Penang....any idea? |

Saya masak biasa je Long. Biasa means saya kena combine ala ala asian and western. western pun tak banyak sbb tak pandai masak. Nasib baik hubby jenis suka makan nasik. so I cook more to asian flavour.
Buat semenjak dua menjak nie, memang da tak larat nak masak penat. Dah tu kalau masak pun kena yg cepat masuk oven atau stir fry less then 20 minutes. |

Scones
3 1/2 cups self-raising flour
1 tsp baking powder
1 tbsp caster sygar
1/2 tsp salt
60g unsalted butter, chilled and diced
(I grated the butter, easier to mix)
1 cup milk
2 tsp lemon juice
1 egg beaten
Milk, extra for brushing.
Preheat the oven to 200 deg.c. Sift the flour & baking powder in a large bowl. Stir in sugar and salt. Add the butter and using fingertips, rub butter into the flour until it resembers fine breadcrumbs.
Mix together the milk and lemon juice - the mixture will curdle slightly. Add the beaten egg and pour into the flour mixture. Mix gentley just until a dough form - donot overwork the dough. Knead very slightly on a slightly floured surface. The dough should be slightly wet and sticky.
Flatten out the dough to a thicken of 3cm and cut out rounds with cookies cutter. Place on a patty tin slightly apart and brush the tops with a little milk. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until risen and golden.
Yang ni resipi dia dari my fav. cookbook, 'The perfect cookbook by David Herbert'. Untuk memudahkan bila nak campur kan mentega dan tepong, I selalu grated kan butter so butter tak melt sangat dan jgn sekali2 over mix. Ni supaya your scones nanti very fluffy and very buttery. Kalau nak boleh campur kan jugak ngan grated cheese. Agak2 je lah.
