salam ADIK...

penggunaan s lagi

Akum Kak seri...
Lagi lagi s...nak tanya lagi nie..tentang s jugak le

Saya tak tahu le apa nama tatabahasa nie tapi berkaitan huruf s...
Cuma nak tanya...sesuatu yg menunjukkan kepunyaan seseorang perlu diletakkan s kan?
Cth: This is Ali's house.

Yang saya nak tanya...bagaimana dengan yg lain, yg bukan seseorang...macam benda ke ape ke
Cth.nya Hotel dan lobby nya
Cth. ayat : Please wait me at hotel lobby.
mcm ni kot yer ayat nyer : please wait FOR  me  at the lobby ( or hotel lobby)

Perlukah diletakkan 's pada perkataan hotel atau biarkan saja perkataan asal hotel?
TQ

okay tengok pula penggunaan did ..does...

did = past tense

does= present tense (singular noun)
do= present tense (plural noun)

bila nak guna original word ...( root word) (please elaborate more on what??)

lagi satu apa lagi exception to the rule for 'to'

looking forward to seeing you..

seeing you= noun (gerund), bukan verb
itu sebab ada -ing (seeing)

looking forward to play badminton with you..

play=verb

kalau tambah ing to playing (ini jadi noun=gerund)

salam La lunar

betullah tu ..
original word ( root words)
kalau lepas " to"usually followed by original word like to see , to cook ( not to cooking or what )
dan root word jugak kita guna bila lepas tanya "did".kan..sbb ini simple thing yg i senang ingat bila tiba tajuk part of speech ni...

tapi maksud i , ade exception to the rule like  the example given above.....thanks
haa bulan terangkan part of speech gerund pulak..untuk pengetahuan i and semua  ( ssb i tak ambil TESL)

gerund senang nak tahu
kalo dia sesorang tu
gerund...

contoh..

Playing football is good for you.. (playing sesorang jer...)
I love to hearing from you soon.

tapi kalo verb dia ada tambah di depannya is are am (verb-to-be)
have has had been

contoh I am playing badminton with my boyfriend
          my boyfriend had been playing badminton with me.

nampak tak???

Cikgu, tak betul ni cikgu!!

Kalau gini tak jadi gerund, cikgu! Lagi pun ayat ni salah. Yang betulnya,
"I would love to hear from you soon" atau "I love hearing from you".

Tapi jadi gerund kalau macam ni: "My hearing is still good" atau "I must attend the hearing on Monday".
