SM Entertainment and SBS sets up S-Channel

South Korea's SM Entertainment Company collaborates with SBSi to produce a mobile channel S-channel. S-channel is a new media platform to bring to customers all kinds of entertainment content. On the S-Channel Inauguration ceremony held by SBS on the 25th at 4pm, SBS' representative expressed that "Through the partnership with SM Company, we can further branch out from our current ringtones, MTV downloads and other service provisions into the area of star photo collections, videos etc, all kinds of exclusive content, also we will be carrying out several exciting events such as lucky draws and auctions."

Voting for music programmes such as SBS Inkigayo will also be carried out through S-channel in the near future. SBS TV Station will also be producing exclusive drama content for broadcasting on S-channel.

SM Entertainment's artistes Super Junior and SHINee attended the Inauguration ceremony, and held an auction of their own collectibles, drawing the participation of many fans.
The proceeds from the auction will be channeled to charitable organizations.
