Spearing agrees Bolton loan
Coyle wins race for Reds midfielder
Sky Sports understands Liverpool midfielder Jay Spearing has agreed to join Bolton on loan. Skysports.com revealed earlier this week Bolton were one of five clubs hoping to sign Spearing before Friday's transfer deadline.
Bolton boss Owen Coyle is a big admirer of Spearing and sees him as a key addition to his side as he look to mount a bid for promotion back to the Premier League at the first attempt.
Liverpool are willing to let Spearing move on as the recent captures of Joe Allen and Nuri Sahinhave pushed the local-born midfielder down the pecking order at Anfield.
A number of clubs were thought to be keen on signing Spearing on a permanent basis, but the 23-year-old has decided to go to Bolton on loan for six months as he sees his long-term future at Anfield.
Bolton are hoping to tie up a deal in time for Spearing to make his debut against Hull City this weekend.

Andy Carroll: Liverpool striker to join West Ham on loan
Liverpool striker Andy Carroll is set to move to West Ham on one-season loan. The 23-year-old England international will undergo a medical before completing his move to Upton Park.
Carroll had wanted to stay at Anfield but the realisation that he was out of manager Brendan Rodgers' plans persuaded him to take a move. It is understood there is no commitment to buy the player but it should allow Liverpool to free up funds to move for Fulham striker Clint Dempsey.
Having conceded defeat in their chase earlier this month, West Ham were given signs of encouragement on Thursday. Liverpool manager Rodgers is desperate to raise funds for new signings and made it clear Carroll was a "third choice" striker at Anfield.
Newcastle's offer to take Carroll on a season-long loan remains on the table, but it remains to be seen if they decide to improve their offer.
Liverpool must raise funds in order to step up their interest in Dempsey, while Arsenal's Theo Walcott also remains a target.
With Charlie Adam expected to join Stoke City shortly and Jay Spearing likely to leave on loan to either Bolton or Wolves, Liverpool may be able to free up the funds to make an offer for Dempsey in the next 24 hours.
Carroll will play no part in the Europa League play-off round second leg against Hearts on Thursday night.

Liverpool Football Club have today completed the signing of Samed Yesil from German club Bayer Leverkusen.
The 18-year-old striker will bolster the club's youth ranks after passing a medical on Thursday.
And he told Liverpoolfc.com: "The first thing is that I have to train and then in one or two years I hope, step by step, to be in the first team.
"It is my dream to play for Liverpool and I will give my all."
Yesil has scored 22 goals in 26 appearances for Germany at U16, U17 and U18 level.

Yesil: Hyypia told me about LFC
New signing Samed Yesil today revealed how Anfield legend Sami Hyypia played a big role in his move to Liverpool - and spoke of his determination to earn a first-team place over the coming years.
The 18-year-old, who will bolster the club's youth ranks, spoke to Liverpoolfc.com after passing a medical on Thursday.
He arrives from Bayer Leverkusen, a club now managed by Hyypia.
And Yesil revealed: "I am really happy about this, it is my dream to play for Liverpool and I will give my all.
"I spoke with Sami Hyypia, he helped me. He told me very important things about Liverpool, the quality of Liverpool and the quality of life here, and how famous the club is."
The striker has an impressive scoring record at youth level, with 22 goals in 26 appearances for his country at U16, U17 and U18 level.
As well as the six he bagged at the U17 World Cup, Yesil was on target three times at the U17 European Championship in May 2011 and was selected in the squad of the tournament by UEFA.
However, he accepts he has a lot to learn before he becomes a first-team regular at Anfield.
"I have spoken with the manager," he said. "The first thing is that I have to train and then in one or two years I hope, step by step, to be in the first team.
"I have to take my chances in training.
"I will work hard here. I have read how the manager here will make a team that is young and that makes many passes, and I think I can be the right player for this.
"I am a goal getter, but it is important that I improve physically on my body because the Premier League is a hard league."
Though his family are Turkish, the new Reds youngster was born in Dusseldorf, Germany.
He speaks some English but will take lessons to become fluent. In the meantime, his English-speaking cousin will be around to lend a hand.
Yesil explained: "I must learn the language, but I am here to learn the language and football in England. It is not so easy, but I hope my qualities will help me make it.
"My family are very happy for me. My cousin is here with me and he will help me for the first six months or one year."

Andy Carroll has completed his move to West Ham - OFFICIAL 
"It's great to be here at West Ham and all signed up - I just can't wait to get started now," Carroll said. "I want to be playing games and obviously hoping to score some goals. I know the manager well and some of the lads, so it is nice for me to come to a place where I know people.
"I'm hoping to add a lot of goals and create a few chances. I know Sam from Newcastle and he was a massive reason for me coming. When I worked with him at Newcastle it was great so it was a no-brainer really."

Adam in Stoke medical
Midfielder poised for Reds exit
Liverpool midfielder Charlie Adam has arrived at Stoke City for a medical as they look to tie up a deal before the close of the transfer window.
Reds boss Brendan Rodgers is willing to let Adam move on having brought in Joe Allen and Nuri Sahin this summer to bolster his midfield options.
The 26-year-old only joined Liverpool last summer from Blackpool, but it is clear he does not figure in Rodgers' long-term plans at Anfield.
The likes of Everton and Fulham have been linked with Adam, but it appears Stoke are in pole position to land the former Rangers man.
Stoke are keen to add to their squad before Friday's deadline and they made a £4million bid for the Scotland international earlier this week.
Adam has now arrived at Stoke's training ground to undergo a medical and discuss personal terms ahead of his switch to the Britannia Stadium.
