Dalglish excited by Liverpool future

Liverpool manager Kenny Dalglish has promised there is still plenty more to come from his in-form side.
The Reds extended their unbeaten run to eight matches in the Barclays Premier League with a 1-1 draw against Manchester City on Sunday.
Liverpool had chances to inflict a first League defeat of the season on the leaders, but were denied by some late heroics by City keeper Joe Hart.
But Dalglish was delighted with his side's efforts at Anfield, saying: "There was fantastic commitment and attitude and determination and pride in playing for the Club.
"Their keeper made a few good saves but that's what he's there for. We look at ourselves and I'm delighted at the performance they put in.

"We've played both Manchester Clubs here now and walked away disappointed with a point. That's the mark of improvement we have made here.

"We're delighted at the way they are playing. This is a team in its infancy. Three or four of them came in this year, plus Andy Carroll, and they are getting to know each other and I'm sure they'll get better."

Liverpool 'lining up move for David Villa'

Liverpool are trying to prise Spanish World Cup winner David Villa away from Barcelona, after he found his place under threat at the Nou Camp.

The former Valencia striker was first targeted by the Reds in the summer of 2010, but he instead opted to move to the Catalan giants.

However, he has recently found he is no longer an automatic pick by coach Pep Guardiola and could look elsewhere for more first-team opportunities.

The Sunday People has suggested that will mean a reconsideration of the Anfield club, now managed by Kenny Dalglish, who would like to add the forward to their attacking options.

Villa will only move to a club in the Champions League, so any signing will depend on Liverpool securing a top four spot during the current campaign.

It is thought the Reds will have to find approximately £40 million to tempt Barcelona into selling a player who has been a regular goalscorer for club and country in the last two seasons.

But Guardiola's determination to field new signings Cesc Fabregas and Alexis Sanchez, as well as handing more opportunities to Pedro alongside talisman Lionel Messi, has seen Villa drop down the pecking order at the Nou Camp.

David Villa??betul ke ni

Pertembungan Blues-Reds jadi tumpuan

- AFP

- Chelsea 0-2 Liverpool
Liverpool made it to the Carling Cup semi-finals after easing to a 2-0 victory over Chelsea at Stamford Bridge. The Reds had beaten the Blues at the Bridge in the Premier League already this month and followed that up with a strong performance. Andy Carroll missed a first-half penalty, but even after that they were much the better side. Maxi Rodriguez and Martin Kelly both scored in a five-minute second half spell as Liverpool extended their unbeaten run to 11 games. Things go from bad to worse for Chelsea though and Andre Villas-Boas cut a dejected figure at the end of the game.

Menang lagi kat stamford brigde YNWA~~
