According to reports, Jerry will have a new management company. A foreign financier will set up a new management company in tie-up with him, but he is still not willing to announce the details. Yan Cheng Xu (jerry ) arrived in Tokyo earlier to shoot his newest publicity photos. His management company shelled out Y6 million (about HK$390,000) for the photoshoot and invited a famous Japanese photographer to take pictures for Jerry's new image. Although Jerry likes to work low- profiled as much as possible, he however was still recognized by local fans when he was photoshooting. Regardless if they were silver-haired lady professionals or schoolchildren, they could directly call him in his English name Jerry, and the Japanese crew were deeply surprised by Jerry's charms.
To avoid chaos, he changed flight on returning to Taiwan
Upon completing his photoshoot work, Jerry and his assistant then wanted to sample the authentic Japanese cuisine, but upon entering the restaurant, many fans saw him and immediately notified other fans. After waiting for him to eat, many lady yuppie fans gathered outside. To avoid unnecessary trouble, Jerry had to quietly leave quickly, and spent much efforts just to return to his hotel.
When news that Jerry was in Japan was exposed, fans immediately researched on their idol's flight schedule. Fans even discussed it in on-line forums so in order to prevent chaos, Jerry finally decided to change his flight on his return to Taiwan.

With clenched teeth, Jerry Yan finally cut his hair shorter by 20 cm, and spent 6 million yen from hairstyle to clothes in an all out change of his image and mood, also beginning to be carefree, no longer like the long-haired type of the past with the depressed, non-vibrant look.
Jerry then shortly announced that he would join a new management company, and before that, he went to Japan to photochoot his promo pictures. In order to carefully prepare for his pictures, Jerry took the services of the image consultant who once worked for Japan's Johnny and Associates, Ayumi Hamasaki, and Satoshi Tsumabuki. Actually, this is the same person who also worked for the image packaging of F4 when they went to Japan for the Taiwan tourism promo last April, where he handled F4 from head to foot, and earned high praises because of his image design.
As Jerry loves his hair as much as his life. he had not cut his hair since he finished shooting for "The Hospital." When he appeared for the Tourism promo in Japan and Korea, his long hair even added to his depressed look. However, when he went beside Zaizai and Vanness who both had cropped short hair, he appeared the non-vibrant one. When he was not smiling, he was accused of having a bad face. This time, his staff kept convincing him to "finally cut it", and it was not until 2 days before he was about to set off to Japan that he finally agreed to go to the hair salon and cut his hair.
With a shorter hair, Jerry's mood also changed, and now also smiles a lot. When he was photoshooting in Riponngo, the staff deliberately avoided populous areas in order to prevent chaos. He hid inside small alleys but surprisingly, even schoolchildren recognized him and shouted "Jerry!"
Jerry is very famous in Japan. However, because there was a local measle epidemic this time, he was wearing a mask in places he went into. The image consultant for Jerry prepared 8 huge boxes of clothes and accessories, and finally tried out at least 20 costumes in a botique shop. Jerry said that this time, he changed his actions, to let his fans see how he has developed and matured.
Many people in Japan are taking pictures, and Jerry was low-profiled again, yet his fans' sharp vision still recognized him. When he saw little children walking by in their school uniforms, he deliberately stopped and hid from behind them. After work, he went for an eat out with his assistant but didn't think that there were fans inside the restaurant. Not long after, many lady professionals already started gathering to wait outside.
