TMnet Data Center cap the bandwidth by end Apr 2007. Expect slow access soon!

Dear All Forumers,

We are sorry to inform you that we have received an email from TMnet recently regarding the cap of bandwidth for their customers in their data center.

We are sorry that all servers of CARI.com.my are in there.

Due to the amount of cost involve if we subscribe to their premium packages, there is nothing we can do at this point of time.

We are really sorry about this.

Best regards,

Admin

Email from TMnet

Hello ,

Dear All,

Attached is the approved announcement for your further action. As per current, this announcement is applicable to BRF & CBJ2 DC. The rest DC will follow once Packet Shaper is installed. If you have other method to cap the bandwidth instead of using the packet shaper, we are happy to know it & recommended to do so, a.s.a.p.

Thank you for your co-operation.

Yours sincerely,

Server Hosting Announcement - Capping of Bandwidth Limit
=========================================
TM Net's Management recently has approved that all "shared bandwidth" customers are to be capped as per below:

1. Dedicated Rack - 2.0 Mbps  (per rack)
2. Half-Rack - 1.0 Mbps  (per rack)
3. Shared-Rack - 512 Kbps  (per rack)
4. 4U - 512 Kbps  (per rack)
5. 1U - 512 Kbps  (per rack)
The capping of bandwidth limit, as per above, will commence 30 days from the date of this announcement. The new ruling is applicable to all new and existing "shared bandwidth" customers.
Therefore, it is recommended that customers who are using / require higher bandwidth to be upgraded to "premium" package. You can refer to your respective AE's for the rack + bandwidth pricing lists.
If you need further information and clarification on the capping exercise, kindly contact us via e-mail at idc@netmyne.com, or at 03-2681 1515 , or your respective AE's.
Thank you.

Regards,
Semarak Operation Center (S.O.C.)

No need to inform la as we everyday experiencing it I mean the phucking slow connection especially between noon up to 5 pm something. Dia mau untung dgn lotsa advertising, tapi at the same time tak mau upgrade to premium package. Jadik bila TMnet dah tengok Cari dah exceeding bandwith sedangkan status sedia ada cuma shared bandwith jadik dia imposed bandwith cap la.

A bandwidth cap, also known more precisely as a download cap or bit cap, limits the transfer of a specified amount of data over a period of time. The cap is commonly applied when a channel intended to be shared by many users becomes overloaded, or may be overloaded, by a few.
