LOTR -- prefer film... sbb buku nya dah 3 thn tak habis2 lagi baca...bru 2-3 chpter

HPotter --- buku....buku the best...film nya tak menyntuh emosi...

Movie biasanya 1.5 jam aje. So I think tak cukup masa nak muatkan semua  detail that the book is able to do.
Usually enhance our understanding and imagination.

I'm thankful that I read " Pride and Prejudice" first before watching any of its adaptations - my Darcy and Lizzy are not 'tainted' with portrayals by various actors / actresses.

Nevetheless, that doesn't stop me from at least liking all adaptations of P& P that I've seen so far (yes, including that 1940 version!). Love the 1995 version (I was a sucker for that lake / wet Darcy scene  ) and I love the 2005 version for its fresh approach   ;)

Btw - heard that Elizabeth Gaskell's "North & South" adaptation starring Richard Armitage and Daniela Denby-Ashe is better that the book itself. I've read the book - it's rather a drag  :re:   Took me more than a year to finish it. Hope to watch the miniseries soon.

for book khaki's opinion, that really depends.

if the book came out first, and the movie dont follow what was in the book exactly, that will leave a lot of fans unhappy.

but thats the thing about the movies - cos the book may just have too many things at times, and if were to put all in - will drag the movie, and make it not so interesting.

just book khaki's 2 sen here :-)
