Synopsis:
Kevin Bacon (2004's "The Woodsman") stars as Nick Hume, an office executive
and proud husband and father whose world is shattered after witnessing the
senseless gang-initiation murder of eldest son Brendan (Stuart Lafferty). When
it doesn't appear as if there will be enough evidence to convict the guilty Joe
Darley (Matthew O'Leary), Nick makes the life-altering decision to drop the case
in exchange for waging some old-fashioned vengeance on the thugs responsible.
By doing so, however, Nick unknowingly jumpstarts a to-the-death war that leaves
unsuspecting wife Helen (Kelly Preston) and 14-year-old son Lucas (Jordan Garrett)
the central targets of vicious leader Billy Darley (Garrett Hedlund) and his posse.
With minimal help being offered by Detective Wallis (Aisha Tyler), Nick is powerless
to stop the battle that has already begun.
Interestingly, Death Sentence arrives in theaters only weeks ahead of the similar
The Brave One. Of the two, the latter - directed by Neil Jordan and starring Jodie
Foster - is the movie to see. It accomplishes many of the things Death Sentence
tries but fails at. It's understandable why this production was dumped into theaters
at the end of August - there's no real audience for it. If a movie can't settle on what
it wants to be, how can viewers help but be confused and frustrated by it?

dan saya minat sangat dengan kevin bacon.. dari tengok filem
footloose zaman tok kadok dulu.. ----
kalau betul death sentence arrived in theaters weeks ahead of brave one -
saya dah tengok brave one... tapi tak perasan pun death sentence
kat usa dah main.. tapi rasanya belum lagi kat malaysia --
nampak memang BEST film ni.... dan saya memang nak tengok sangat - |

aku baru tengok tadi kat sunway pyramid...
Aku paling benci music dlm filem nih...annoying sgt...kelakar pun ada..cam tak kena...tp mungkin konsep penceritaannya camtu..
Citer ni masa awal-awal meleleh gak la air mata aku masa anak dia mati...part tembak menembak pun best gak la....
