assalamualaikum.
Since Malaysia do no allow dual-citizenship, I am curious if the country has any law in place to forbid a designated heir, who has gave up Malaysian citizenship, to inherit and liquidate properties left over by his/he parents. Parents are both Malaysian and properties include real estate, commercial and land property as well as bank and brokerage accounts.Like lndons now, to many indon people living here, most of them have their own property like in Shah Alam somewhere in Jalan Kebun sek32/33, Damansara, Keramat also all in Malaysia elsewhere.
I can't believe they can build their own house like double story until banglows as well also. Therefore got more than one car each.. wallaweyyhh...
I am looking forward to hear from anyone who know anything about the Malaysian property law or had ran into the same situation like what I just described.
Thank you- |

waalaikumussalam..
if im x mistaken, yes, foreigner can own property in Malaysia
but consent needs to be obtained from the relevant state authority, i.e land office
& value of the property must not be less that rm250k |
