KUALA LUMPUR: The 12 students from Universiti Malaysia Terengganu (UMT) who assaulted a fellow student are believed to have accused the victim of violating "human norms", according to police.
Terengganu police chief Khairi Khairuddin stated that this is believed to have led to the group taking turns to assault the 20-year-old student, Buletin TV3 reported.
"The cause of the fight might be because they accused the victim of engaging in an activity that violates human norms. I do not want to mention what the accusation is.
