A bottleneck is a phenomenon where the performance or capacity of an entire system is limited by a single or limited number of components or resources. The term bottleneck is taken from the 'assets are water' metaphor. As water is poured out of a bottle, the rate of outflow is limited by the width of the conduit of exit—that is, bottleneck. By increasing the width of the bottleneck one can increase the rate at which the water flows out of the neck at different frequencies. Such limiting components of a system are sometimes referred to as bottleneck points.

tu aku kopipes dr wiki..... nak baca banyak2, g la baca kat sana...

yg ptg.. tgk kat part yg aku bold/underline tu.. tu je yg ptg bila cakap pasal bottleneck..
performance drop/limited dsebabkan 1@ lbh komponen yg ada..
ada masa cuma 1 komponen jd punca.. ada masa lbh dr 1.. bgantung pada keadaan..

based on the given spec.. utk gaming.. sbg cth pertama...
bila set ingame setting high @ high reso.. game jd lag.. tsekat2..
punca bottleneck x lain x bukan.. gc yg dguna pakai..
its not capable to deliver hi performance @ high res using high setting..

2nd scenario.. multiple cause for bottleneck..
katalah.. sistem kat atas dguna utk rendering.. professional rendering software..
kata la.. min spec recommended utk software tu 4gb ram..
bottleneck akn blaku sbb 2 perkara.. ram yg minimum.. n grafik kad..
kalo minimum ram 4gb.. kene guna lbh dr tu.. kalo x akn slow..
n gc utk pro software guna workstation gc.. bila guna mainstream gc..
ada instruction dperlukan xleh guna sempurna.. pong jd slow..

monitor pong boleh bottleneck sebab semua setting Full HD tp pakai monitor crt lagi...atau lcd biasa non Full HD

aku mcm yakin je ko pnye kad grafik ko tu meleherbotolkan cpu ko (ni pun kalau ko pnye monitor beresolusi tinggi - HD), tp kalau monitor ko resolusi rendah, kompem2 ni kes cpu ko overkill. Tp papepun, kalau monitor ko HD, aku rekemen ko amik kad grafik baharu, apa kata hd 5850? sapphire pnye - sapphire hd 5850 xtreme (versi murah psl minus dual-hdmi feature kot, tp tetap terbaik), terai carik kat lelong, harga dlm 4 ratus lebih. pastu akan datang kalau ko nak upgrade, ko bleh upgrade motherboard ko utk ko btukar ke cpu intel i5 - sandybridge (harga bajet dan power! dan jimat power..

). Walaubagaimana pun halnya, kalu nak upgrade kad grafik ko tu, jgn lupe tgk2 gak kat bekalan kuasa (psu) ko tu..

utk gamers.. wa cadangkan g sini... bia dia wat analisis..
nanti dia akan donlodkan dia punya java applet...
pastu akan dpt detail analisis.. sistem pass ke x...

5850 is better.. 6790 punya spec lbh kurang separuh dr 5850 punya spec.. so x pelik 5850 superior dr 6790..
kalo rege beza jauh sangat.. 6790 pong dah ok..
shud b ok to handle most games @ 1680*1050 (except few titles cam metro2033..)
