Indonesia's Hawk 200 Crashed in Riau
RIAU (Indonesia Today) - A Hawk 200 combat fighter aircraft, owned by Indonesian Air Force (TNI AU), is reportedly crashed in Kampar Regency, Riau province. No casualties reported from the crash located nearby local people's residential area, Tuesday (Oct 16).
Pilot Reza Yori Prasetyo survives as he successfully used the ejector seat before the aircraft crashed. Azman Yunus, Information Head of Indonesian Air Force, revealed that the incident happened during a training routine in the location.
Azman, however, claimed that authorities have yet to find the cause of the accident. “We do not know yet the about the cause. It could be caused by broken engine or another system error,” said Azman as quoted by Vivanews.
Azman also revealed that there are no casualties reported in the incident even though it took place near a residential are and the Pekanbaru Airport. |
