Statement from UNHCR on the Data-Gathering Exercise at the KLFA Stadium

UNHCR is currently conducting a data gathering exercise for unregistered asylum-seekers of the Rohingya, Myanmar Muslim and Myanmar Tamil ethnic groups from Myanmar, at the KLFA Stadium in Cheras.
This is a part of our on-going process of gathering information on unregistered asylum-seekers in the country.
This is to assist UNHCR in our future programmatic planning, including future registration exercises. For planning purposes, UNHCR needs to know who are the unregistered asylum-seekers in the country, and data-gathering exercises such as this helps us to know this.
This data-gathering exercise is part of our on-going information gathering process with unregistered asylum-seeker communities in Malaysia. We had conducted similar exercises for other Myanmar communities last year, and it had been planned that this exercise would be done for these communities this year.

Aku yang anto budak pekerja Myanmar kesana 4trip pergi balik tk nampak muka orang jpn pun yg ada org unhcr kt situ tuk upgrades data mat Myanmar ada la.ni sume fitnah jahat pembangkang.men tojoh je! |
