BANGI, June 2 — The two batches of Cadbury chocolate products previously found tainted with porcine DNA have now been declared halal for Muslim consumption, the Malaysian Islamic Development Department (Jakim) announced today.
Datuk Seri Dr Jamil Khir Baharom, the minister in charge of Islamic religious affairs, said 11 samples of the confectionary giant’s Cadbury Dairy Milk Hazelnut and the Cadbury Dairy Milk Roast Almond were sent straight from the factory to a special accredited laboratory for testing.
“Pig DNA was not found in the samples,” he told reporters here.
Cadbury’s Malaysian outfit had scrambled to recall two batches of chocolate products found tainted with porcine DNA by the Health Ministry last Saturday.
But Jamil Khir said today that the tests conducted by the Health Ministry could have been flawed as the samples were not brought in directly from Cadbury’s factory.
There was a possibility that the previous sample testing could have been “contaminated”, resulting in porcine DNA being detected, he added.
The minister also said that Jakim will now review its earlier halal suspension of the two Cadbury chocolate products following the findings of the latest results.

Dua coklat Cadbury sah tiada DNA babi
KUALA LUMPUR 2 Jun - Dua sampel produk coklat Cadbury yang diambil terus dari kilang syarikat itu, disahkan tidak mengandungi Asid Deoksiribonukliek (DNA) babi (porcine).
Produk berkenaan adalah coklat susu dengan kacang hazel (Cadbury Dairy Milk Hazelnut) dan coklat susu dengan buah badam (Cadbury Dairy Milk Roast Almond).
Perkara itu dimaklumkan Menteri di Jabatan Perdana Menteri, Datuk Seri Jamil Khir Baharom hari ini selepas keputusan ujian yang dijalankan Jabatan Kimia terhadap dua sampel coklat berkenaan diterima pagi ini.
"Dua produk itu dikesan tiada DNA babi selepas ujian terhadap sampel dari kumpulan yang sama yang diambil terus dari kilang syarikat itu, dijalankan.
"Keputusan yang dimaklukan Kementerian Kesihatan baru-baru ini mungkin tercemar," katanya kepada pemberita selepas merasmikan Majlis Anugerah Kecemerlangan Ujian Penulisan Kelas KAFA (UPKK) dan Penyerahan Surat Tawaran Geran Tahunan 1Malaysia Development Bhd .(1MDB) - Jakim 2014 di Institut Latihan Islam Malaysia di Bangi hari ini. - UTUSAN ONLINE

P/s:- Makna kata bukan semua cadbury tu tercemar dari DNA babi..atau sykt cadbury setelah mengetahuinya..cepat2 membuang suma cokolatnya dan diproses yg baru sebab mereka tahu Jakim akan siasat sampai ke kilang..apa pun....saya tidak akan makan Cadbury lagi walaupun ada tanda halal. |

yela.. sbb yg ckp ada babi tu pihak lain (bukan yg berautoriti dalam kes halal haram makanan)
sosej ikea tu PPIM ke apa kan yg bgtau - jakim double check semula ikut prosedur jakim - sahkan bukan/tiada
cadbury ni KKM yg report (tu pun setelah borang ujikaji bocor) - jakim double check semula, guna sampel dr kilang terus.. - sahkan tiada
dalam hal ni aku lebih percaya kpd jakim..
DNA babi drpd coklat sample yg KKM check tu mungkin ada pencemaran - mybe ambil dpd pasaran..
mcm kita la.. lalu sebelah kedai cina ada sup babi, asap sup kena kt baju, pastu jumpa ah seng lak (baru lepas makan babi salai), kita gi salam dia kawan lama
so check lah kt baju & tangan tu - pasti ada DNA babi.. DNA tau.. bukan cebisan daging ke apa.. ini dna..

Shut down Cadbury factory as lesson to the ‘ultra kiasu’, says Muslim columnist

Several media reported the Health Ministry recently detected two samples of the Cadbury chocolate, namely two batches of Cadbury’s Dairy Milk Hazelnut and its Dairy Milk Roast Almond which contained porcine DNA.
KUALA LUMPUR, June 2 — Controversial columnist Ridhuan Tee Abdullah said today the authorities should shut down the factory that had manufactured chocolates with traces of pig DNA found, as a lesson to others.
In a column published by Malay-language daily Sinar Harian, he said while there is no need to resort to violence, Muslims should not have to compromise on their religious beliefs and urged the authorities to take stern action against those he branded “ultra kiasu” — a mash-up of English and Hokkien referring to an extremist who is afraid of losing.
“I have always said, do not trust the ultra kiasu, I refer to those who oppose Islam and always want to win.
“We have to be firm, no more compromise. No need to burn down the factory as some extremists proposed.
“Revoke the licence. Close down the chocolate factory. This is a particularly important lesson to other companies,” he wrote in his column.
The Muslim convert warned that inaction would lead to the “ultra kiasu” becoming “more daring”.
“I worry that in the future we would be consuming pork even though not in the form of a real pig,” he said.
Several media reported the Health Ministry recently detected two samples of the Cadbury chocolate, namely two batches of Cadbury’s Dairy Milk Hazelnut and its Dairy Milk Roast Almond which contained porcine DNA.
Following the uproar, the Department of Islamic Development Malaysia (Jakim) held a meeting with the Health Ministry, the Domestic Trade, Cooperatives and Consumerism Ministry, the Chemistry Department, and the Department of Standards Malaysia.
The meeting has agreed that Jakim will carry out tests to determine the halal status of the products and the Health Ministry is supposed to submit its analysis officially to Jakim to facilitate investigations.
The tests is being done by a laboratory in Petaling Jaya authorised by Jakim to issue halal certificates.
Jakim is expected to announce the test results in a news conference today.
“My reminders to Muslims; First, do not get too excited about the food produced by the ultra kiasu.
“I am puzzled as to why Muslims get so enthused as to go to ultra kiasu shops although they don’t have halal certification from Jakim, yong tau foo shops, coffee shops, bakeries with alcohol in their products and more.
“No one is rejecting peace and unity, but those who have ill-intentions, must be taught a lesson,” Ridhuan said.

pening kepala akak.
bukan pe, dulu babi digunakan untuk musnahkan perniagaan orang melayu contoh ramly burger pernah kena sabotaj dulu daging nya mengandungi dna babi.
sekarang cadbury, pelik tp benar.
akak harap siapa yang terlibat di humban neraka tingkat 8 bawah neraka jahanam
