indon is a source of a very2 cheap labor and its nearer with easy access... learnt some economic la... why need all the trouble to get bangladeshi (they are muslim also) or myanmar workers? and with language problem? our neighbour Indon.. is full with uneducated , cheap source of labor.. once they try to increase their wages some of us are turning to cambodia moslem for maid.. bangladeshi and myanmar labor for construction sector..and now more and more of the myanmar and vietnamese are coming in for the industrial sector.... bye2 indon.. (then malaysian will be truely asian he he)

yeahh ... indon is still indon, too educated today perhaps... thats why still need to send your ppl oversea to make a living..coz Indon govt doesnt really bother about their people... at one point maybe you are right..malaysian still need these cheap labour to do all the cheap labor job... and pls la dont give those stupid idea of your educated indon working for boustead.. tell me how many thousand of them? or maybe you got problems with maths and cant count correctly... like 200mil indon working in malaysia ha ha ha..... and our nation has been hiring bangladeshi, vietnamese, filipinos workers for yrs now..wats the crap about our PM not dare to do this or that..WTF how old are you boy?? maybe your mummy n daddy are among the lucky who are most fortunate to earn a decent living in Indon...but do remember there are so many of you less fortunate and dont tell me you are proud coz your country can supply cheap labor/workers actually your govt need to come up with something or plan to provide jobs to the people... making warships or weapons domestically is good but it still doesnt solve the problems .... it does create wealth to a few but still millions are jobless...
and again when you mention about 200mill indon send here to balance the malay dominance i wonder... educated or uneducated ...ha ha ha ...ha ha ha |

I guess it's typo, not 200 millions but 200 thousand people. yes Malays of Malaysians must thank Suharto gomen for sending those Indons to Malaysia in order to help Malays win political struggle over Chinese and Indians. In 1970s, Malaysia was lack of teachers, especially in rural areas. Some Indonesians went to Malaysia to become teachers for the sake of "bangsa serumpun"...
Actually Malaysia's economy was always better than Indonesia since the British as a colony master had a larger trade network than the Dutch which controlled Indonesia... However, much of the wealth at that time was in the hand of the Europeans, while most Malaysian Malays were still in kampongs.
Though during 80s and 90s Malaysian economy grew faster than Indonesia, Indonesia wasn't far behind. And funny because along with faster economic growth, most Malaysians were still poorly dressed compared to Indonesians. Actually Indonesians have higher living standard than their Malaysian counterparts.
Indonesians poor come to Malaysia for various reasons:
1. For some Indonesian regions Malaysia is located closer than Java or Jakarta, why should you go to Jakarta if you live in Riau or Kalimantan?
2. Many Malaysian maid agencies are operated in Indonesia. They cheat Indonesians by giving promises about better payment. In the end, many of them failed to keep their promises. But it's alright because they don't have to deal with Indonesian law, they're in Malaysia and their victims are not Malaysians. (This is one among some reasons that make Indonesians angry towards Malaysia.
Ignorance Malaysians think that all Indonesians are poor and begin to act arrogantly. Along with Malaysian gomen propaganda they begin to think that they country is a rich country comparable to any developed nation. Indonesians, on the other hand, always look down Malaysians. Thinking that their bro ad sis serumpun are poorer just by looking at how Malaysians are poorly dressed. They can't accept that inferior Malaysians begin to act as if they are superior. That's add oil into fire.
However, Malaysians now are not so poorly dressed anymore, though they're much left behind by Indonesians. Do you know why? Malaysians can afford to go to Bandung and Jakarta thanks to AirAsia. So their fashion isn't so far behind Indonesians since they now can buy clothes and kain in Pasar baru and Tanah Abang...
BUT taste is difficult to change. Indonesian middle class actually rarely shop in Pasar Baru or Tanah Abang...because Pasar Baru Bandung and Tanah Abang is regarded by Indonesians as a market for ORANG KAMPUNG...They're amazed looking at the fact that even Malaysian middle class, rich, and celebrities love to shop in Pasar Baru and Tanah Abang... they think: well once SELERA KAMPUNG is always SELERA KAMPUNG, you can't change that with money.... |

malaysians only see the poorest society of indonesians that's why they have false impressions, they don't see the middle class... indonesian middle class can hire maid without needing immigrants, they can buy nice clothes in FOs, pasar baru or tanah abang without waiting for airasia, they can buy nice cars (forget proton), etc..etc...
read here please you'll impressed on how indon has advanced above malaysia
