Bad Boys II -- Recommend to watch?

Hello everyone,,
I see that it's on Netflix, and there always seems to be a positive reaction whenever it's referenced on Reddit, with many people citing it as a guilty pleasure sort of film. And it's directed by Michael Bay.

Now, I don't even http://tradevenue.se/ "hate" Michael Bay's works as much as the average Redditor and especially the average movies Redditor.

IMO, Bay's biggest problem is discretion, or abuse of discretion. He certainly knows how to spice shots up visually, but he never knows when to stop. "Mayhem"/"Bayhem" is the perfect way to describe all of the chaos in his film-making. Personally, the composition of shots don't bother me nearly as much as his writing.

But anyway, is Bad Boys II worth a watch? And do I need to watch the first one to get the 2nd one?
