The IGP’s letter of 12 February 2007 was to urge the Finance Minister to consider the proposal by Asiacopter Sdn Bhd, another company headed by Othman Talib, to rent 34 helicopters to the PDRM for a period of 30 years.

After writing to the Prime Minister on 3 November 2006 urging him to issue a LETTER OF EXCLUSIVE INTENT to Web Power Sdn Bhd to award the company the police computerisation project (read here), an outfit headed by Police Force Commissioner Othman Talib, the IGP then writes to the Minister of Finance on 12 February 2007.

The IGP’s letter of 12 February 2007 was to urge the Finance Minister to consider the proposal by Asiacopter Sdn Bhd, another company headed by Othman Talib, to rent 34 helicopters to the PDRM for a period of 30 years.

The IGP mentions in that letter that the rental cost is very reasonable but no figure is mentioned.

Dato' Othman Bin Talib, IC No. 500130-01-5819, is, in fact, a director of the following companies:

Every police officer knows that Othman Talib was placed in the Police Force Commission (PFC) personally by the IGP. The PFC is a very powerful ‘tool’ that decides on the promotion of police officers. And, of course, police officers that do not ‘play ball’ are not promoted but are instead sent into cold storage under the guise of ‘transfers’. The less fortunate are sent to Tatatertib to be crucified (like those who signed Statutory Declarations alleging that the IGP has links with the Chinese crime syndicate).

pppsssstttt.............kalau hangpa jadi KERA-jaan laaa......... Hangpa nak beli or sewa utk 30 tahun?? Macam bas, teksi laaa.........hangpa nak sewa or beli? Kalau hangpa beli.......hangpa tak nak beli insuran sekali kaaa? Nie cerdik or terlebey cerdik??

mengapa mesin fotostar disewa.. tidak dibeli..

jawapan mudah, jika dibeli kemudian kerja maintenance yang melibat kepakaran, kemudahan dan keupayaan termasuk kewangan harus ditanggung pikul berasingan oleh pihak kerajaan juga/lagi.. maka perbelajaan akan jadi sangat berganda, namun kesinambungan dari perlatan tidak terikat dan kebanyakannya akan menjadi gajah putih.

Bayangkanlah jika semuanya akan ditanggung oleh penyewa kepada yang menyewa, mac am perkhidmatan bas, kita sebagai pengguna tak payah memikirkan soal maintenance bac... siapa pemandunya.... yang perlu hanya pematuhan syarat yang ditetapkan saja...

Syarikat penerbangan besar pun banyak yang sekadar menyewa sahaja kapal terbang besar2 bukan membelinya, tanyalah mereka ini mengapa... jika tindakan menyewa helikopter itu satru amalan bodoh, pergilah ajar kepada syarikat penerbangan besar yang menyewa kapal terbang mereka, bukan membeli... !

ok lah tuh sewa.. aku pon dok buat perolehan kerajaan... mmg patut pon sewa... kerajaan tak yah nak pikir servis menten tiap2 bulan... mcm kete spanco.. kepala tak pening,,... derebar pon tak leh kencing duit servis mcm kes kereta perdana dulu.. cuma sewa bulan2 mahal lah sikit..
sewa nie bukan maksud pakai sampai 30 tahun beb... 10 tahun sekali tukar heli baru... mcm spanco.. 5 tahun sekali tukar kereta baru... mmg tip top lah kenderaan mcm nih...
cuma kalau tak mau monopoli oleh 1 1 kompeni kena open tender lah...
