Milito To Replace Departing Villa
Real Zaragoza striker Diego Milito may move to Valencia as a replacement for David Villa if Los Che sell their star hit-man according to reports in Spain.
AS claims that Valencia may move in for Milito if they sell Villa who is wanted by several major European sides.
Los Che are trying desperately hard to hold onto the Spain international but their efforts may prove futile and this, in turn, would open the door for Milito to arrive at the Mestalla.
Zaragoza are not willing to sell their hit-man but they have stated in the past that they would be selling if the right offers came along.
Milito has been a target for Serie A side抯 Napoli and Juventus in the past but the player has always expressed his desire to stay in Spain and this would favour Valencia as they would have more of a chance of landing him if they pursued that line of interest.
Joaqu韓 is set to demand answers from Valencia after receiving offers for him from Italy and England and wants to know if he wil be part of the club's plans.
The 26-year-old is concerned about whether he will have regular football at Mestalla next term after a hit and miss season that saw him miss out on Spain's Euro 2008 squad, according to Marca.
Unai Emery has taken over at the club after a disastrous spell under Ronald Koeman and Joaqu韓 is unsure whether the new boss sees him as a key player.
Talks a month ago between the player's agent, Eduardo Espejo, and Valencia's sporting director, Juan S醤chez, did not resolve anything and another meeting is planned for this week.
Joaqu韓 has his sights set on a return to the international set-up and he wants to ensure that he will not miss out on a chance of playing in the 2010 World Cup Finals.
After playing regularly in the qualifiers for the European Championships, a poor run of form and intermittent appearances meant that Luis Aragon閟 could not justify his inclusion this summer.
That did not go down well with the former Real Betis star and he is not prepared to spend another season in and out of the Valencia team.
