bg aku deal dgn typhoon ni ada kebaikannya dr segi jangka pjg , terutama dlm hal maintenance , lgpun deal dlm psawat A400 pun dah tunjukkan corak perkongsian yg menguntungkan dr segi jangka pjg utk industri aero kat negara , apa pun at least kita bakal dpt pesawat yg mampu sokong su ngan hornet |

it would be a nightmare for any airforce ,with different type of aircraft and weapon systems.. but its will also give a nightmare to our enemy.. with different type of weapon system they need to encounter if they have to face RMAF fighter jets.. and its an advantage for RMAF pilots being expose to different type of fighting doctrine... russian, US and if its happen UK or europe..
if using single type of fighter jets, once ur enemy found its weaknesses then the whole airforce would collapse. |

aku setuju , nightmare utk manax2 pihak yg pandang rendah keupayaan TUDM , antara pasukan udara yg mampu maintain variasi pesawat pelbagai , bayangkan kita dpt lahirkan pilot yg mampu bwk semua jenis jet pejuang dr pelbagai variasi , org luar mmg tak boleh bayangkan hahaha |

RMAF memang perlu numbers.
Tapi, Typhoon is not the "end user" choice. Lagi satu, RMAF sudah awal awal cakap mau MRCA & bukan interceptor shj. |

Of course laaaa .... tapi I based my opinion back to our pembelian in 1990s. We got 'em Hawk 108s/208s by the Brits, MiG-29Ns by the Ruskies & F-18Ds by Uncle Sam ...
It seems as if history repeating itself here .... so my best projection is ....
1) Additional 6 Su-30MKMs (trade-in of RMAF MiG-29Ns to Rosobonorexport)
2) 20 Typhoon Tranche 1 + 10 Typhoon Tranche 3 (BAe is offering the sweet deals)
3) 8 to 10 Boeing F-18F SuperHornets (to placate Uncle Sam .... and to 'kipas' RMAF laaa)
We got 'em Ruskies, Brits & a few Uncle Sam's warbirds .... seems reasonable (well, still a zoo fro RMAF lah). |

For additional 6 Su-30MKMs = trade in 16 MiG-29N .... not much cost involved.
For 30 Typhoons (20 Tranche 1 + 10 Tranche 3) = budget set up for M-MRCA requirement.
For additional 8 or 10 F-18Fs = Dunno (?) |

bg aku , amerika pun operasikan bnyk jenis pesawat , klu terlampau bergantung pada satu type , mmg menguntungkan dr segi logistik , tp bila berlaku sesuatu seperti blokade , mcm indon , hbs hancur skuadron jet dia , terpaksa pakai yg russia jugak akhirnya , malah arab saudi pernah buat perkara yg sama dgn pesawat f16 dia , bila tak dpt upgrade terus order dr negara lain , sampai amerika pun terpaksa bersetuju tawarkan versi pesawat yg lebih moden pada arab saudi |

Kalau kaya takper la nak main banyak2 type... ini dah la budget pertahanan ciput,banyak 'leakage' pulak tu.Habis2 end up dengan rojak force dgn jumlah jet yg menyedihkan.Will history repeat itself??? I wonder...
