Okay, so we all know that the reigning queen of Bollywood is none other than our Rani (how typical) Mukherjee. But for those of you who thought that the South Mumbai snob class preferred 'international beauties', you got it all wrong. Ever since Rani's brother and bhabhi became proud parents of a baby girl a few days ago, the Breach Candy Hospital has been the scene of many thousands gathering every evening to catch a dekho of their favourite light-eyed beauty. Yes, Rani comes all the way almost every day to be with the 'chhotti Rani'. And despite the fact that she hates the long packed-with-traffic drive into the city, she doesn't mind it one bit. And what this has done to Breach Candy is that it's turned into one chaotic venue for a 'babe-watch'. Youngsters wait outside the hospital between 5 and 7pm every evening to see their favourite star. And even the nurses and in-house doctors drop everything (hopefully not in the maternity ward) and rush to the area where the Mukherjees are going 'goo goo, ga ga' over the newest entrant to their home. In fact, like papa Mukherjee told us when we called to congratulate him, "It's a long and terrible drive but it's all worth it. After all the entire family can enjoy these special moments together We'll actually be relieved when the baby comes home." Sure. But what about the shattered snob class of South Mumbai? Remember, a pair of light eyes did it.

BEKAS SUAMI NORANIZA SEMAKIN 'LARIS'
KEHIDUPAN sebagai bapa tunggal ternyata menjadikan bekas suami penyanyi, Noraniza Idris, begitu menarik di mata sebahagian kaum wanita.

Ruangan Pancaindera melaporkan pihaknya menerima e-mel di kalangan ramai peminat perempuan yang mahu berkenalan dengan Fareez atau nama sebenarnya, Mohd Fauzi Mohd Tajuddin.

Dalam e-mel yang diterima, peminat duda yang juga penerbit album itu dilaporkan berkata: 'Saya sudi mengubati luka Fareez, usahlah dikenang lagi kekecewaan lalu.'

Fareez, 43 tahun, yang melafazkan cerai terhadap Noraniza, 38 tahun, baru-baru ini tinggal bersama dua orang anak mereka, Mohd Alif Haikal, 17 tahun, dan Mohd Alfeq Haikal, 13 tahun.

Dengan ciri-ciri bapa mithali sebegitu tidak hairanlah Fareez menjadi 'laris' dan silap-silap nanti, orang perempuan pula yang hendak hantar pinangan! Amacam?

Norman, Abby dinasihat agar kekal bahagia

NORMAN Hakim harus 100 kali lebih sabar dan tabah daripada isterinya, Abby Abadi. Abby pula harus bersikap rasional dan berusaha memaafkan pihak ketiga.

Itulah nasihat pengarah siri Gerak Khas, Datuk Yusof Haslam, semasa menyentuh kemelut yang melanda pasangan pelakon Gerak Khas, Norman dan Abby, baru-baru ini sehingga menyebabkan jatuhnya talak.

Datuk Yusof, dalam laporan Bintang Popular, berkata: 'Kalau pihak berkenaan (Farahdhiya) dah minta maaf, apalah salahnya kita memaafkannya. Sedangkan Nabi memaafkan umatnya, inikan kita. Tidak rendah martabat kita memaafkan orang.'

Mengenai Norman, Datuk Yusof menambah:

Erra belum putuskan terima tawaran

USAHA menggandingkan Awie dengan Erra Fazira sebagai pasangan kekasih dalam filem Sumolah arahan Afdlin Shauki, mungkin sahaja tidak menjadi kenyataan.

Ini kerana meskipun sidang media telah diadakan, sehingga kini Erra masih belum memberikan sebarang kata putus dan Afdlin khabarnya masih dalam proses 'memujuk'.

Erra, dalam laporan Pancaindera, berkata: 'Memang ada tawaran tetapi Erra lagi belum buat keputusan muktamad.

'Ada kemungkinan besar sukar untuk saya menerima tawaran berkenaan. Tengoklah dulu, kena fikir panjang-panjang ni.'

Jika kedua-duanya bersetuju, Erra dan Awie bakal bergandingan sebagai pasangan kekasih dalam filem yang turut menampilkan Gurmit Singh, Radhi Khalid dan Afdlin sendiri.

'Sebab itu saya kata payah untuk saya menerima tawaran itu. Saya tak mahu mengundang benda-benda yang remeh-temeh lagi. Nanti kalau kami berlakon bersama, hal-hal yang lebih kecoh akan timbul.

'Lagipun saya kena tumpukan kepada album pula selepas ini, tak sempat hendak buat semua dalam satu masa,' katanya memberi jawapan cukup beralas.

MISHA JANGKIT SITI APABILA SEBUT SOAL CINTA
NAMPAKNYA penyanyi Misha Omar sudah terjangkit gaya Siti Nurhaliza dalam bercakap soal cinta.

Ketika ditemui sebaik persembahan tamat, Misha tidak menafikan kekasihnya turut berada di ruang kelab popular di ibu kota itu sepanjang persembahannya di situ.

'Biarlah saya terus merahsiakan siapakah lelaki yang berjaya bertakhta di hati saya ini kerana bimbang. Kata orang, perkara yang belum ada kepastian tidak baik diheboh-hebohkan.

Kareena Kapoor is so excited about Vishal Bhardwaj's 'Othello' adaptation, where she is playing the role of Desdemona.

"I just have a gut feeling about 'Omkara'. It is going to take me to another level," Kareena told in a recent interview.

Kareena, who's now busy performing Rockstars concert in US, couldn't attend the film's promotional campaign at Cannes.

"I was definitely planning my trip to Cannes this summer. The producer Kumar Mangat has put up an entire Omkara stall at Cannes. I think it'd have been a great experience, but I am in the middle of my world concerts," Kareena regretted.

Kareena finds her role in 'Omkara' quite challenging. "Believe me, playing Desdemona in 'Omkara' has been my most challenging experience as an actress. There are very few roles that have given me satisfaction - 'Refugee', 'Asoka', 'Chameli', 'Yuva' and now 'Omkara'. I myself can't believe what I have done here," the once-chocolate gal of Bollywood gushed with golden glitter.

For the first time Esha Deol and Shamita Shetty are going to play together in Anubhav Sinha's next titled 'Cash'. 'Cash' will have Ajay Devgan, Zayed Khan, Arjun Rampal and Ritesh Deshmukh playing the male leads.

As per source, one more leading lady will be signed up for the movie; however who, it's not finalized yet.

Vishal-Shekhar will compose its music. The film's principal part will be shot in South Africa. As per latest, the casts and crew are likely to fly off in the middle of August for its South Africa schedule.

Anubhav Sinha's last film 'Tathastu' hasn't fared well at the box office. However Anubhav has given hit film like 'Dus' earlier. Now it remains to be seen if 'Cash' can set the box office registrar ringing.

Aishwarya Rai dies in tragic car crash

Aishwarya Rai was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics responding to the accident.

Highway Safety Investigators have told reporters that Aishwarya Rai lost control while driving a friend's vehicle on Interstate 80 and rolled the vehicle several times killing her instantly.

The vehicle was believed to have been traveling at approximately 95 miles per hour in a 55mph zone at the time of the accident.

Witnesses have stated that Aishwarya Rai's car crossed the double lines several times prior to the accident and hit the center lane divider causing the vehicle to flip and roll.

Toxicology tests will be performed to determine whether she was driving under the influence.

Memorial services for Aishwarya Rai have not yet been announced. The service is expected to be a closed casket funeral due to the severe head trauma.

Birthday celebrations for Karan Johar and Aishwarya Rai抯 mom

Film director Karan Johar will turn another year older on 25 May, unfortunately this year the talented director will be having a quite birthday, just with his mom. Karan Johar has enjoyed great success in all his films. RAI PLANS DOMESTIC VIOLENCE BOOK

Bollywood actress AISHWARYA RAI is planning to write a book about the domestic violence she suffered at the hands of an ex-boyfriend.

The Indian former Miss World was compelled to speak out about her experiences after playing a battered wife in  

new movie PROVOKED, which she is promoting at the Cannes Film Festival in France.
When asked by journalists if she had suffered domestic violence, she said, "Yes and it's something I may well write about one day."

Ash says she may write her story

AISHWARYA RAI is provoked. After causing a stir at the Cannes Film Festival with her walks on the Croisette and the portrayal of a battered Sikh woman in Provoked, Rai said she might lift the lid off her own alleged victimisation.

When asked by journalists if she had suffered domestic violence, Rai said, "Yes and it's something I may well write about one day." While the hardback may take a while, if at all, it was enough to grab the headlines and perhaps reason enough for her boyfriends to rewind and retrospect. For those who have forgotten Vivek Oberoi's news conference and allegations of bruises, Rai reportedly had a difficult relationship with actor Salman Khan. While there is a difference between incidents at Bollywood Boulevard and in the London house of Kiranjit Ahluwalia, whom Rai portrayed in Provoked, the actor, it seems, immediately identified with her. "There are not many similarities in their experiences but when Rai met Kiranjit, she could instantly empathise with her," said director Jagmohan Mundra.

Mundra said Rai and Ahluwalia had sat alongside for the film's premiere. In a deglamourised role in Provoked, Rai showcases the trauma of Ahluwalia who was abused by her husband.

After storming New Jersey earlier this month, Salman Khan and his buddies rocked New York this weekend.

The Rockstars Live Concert at the Nassau Coliseum in Long Island, New York state, saw Sallu with colleagues John Abraham, Kareena Kapoor,Mallika Sherawat, Zayed Khan, Shahid Kapoor and Esha Deol.

The concerts feature song and dance performances as well as Bollywood dialogue routines, and American audiences can't get enough.

When a prankster killed off Shah Rukh Khan!

A South African prankster falsely reported the death of top actor Shah Rukh Khan in an accident because he could not spell the first name of his original choice, Hrithik Roshan.

Call centre worker Aman Singh was marched off the premises a day before his earlier resignation became effective after investigations revealed his computer as the source of an e-mail claiming that Shah Rukh had died in an accident.

Singh copied and pasted the masthead of a leading South African news website, News24.com, to make his message look authentic. Although it was crudely designed, it conned hundreds of fans who hurriedly passed on the message to others.

In the e-mail, Singh claimed that Shah Rukh had been killed in a road accident when his car hit a tree, and that this had been confirmed by the actor's manager.

The e-mail sparked frantic calls to media here and even to India, where Shah Rukh was busy filming for his next film, Don. News24.com quickly traced the source of the e-mail to Aman Singh after the website was inundated with queries about the story.

Singh tendered apologies after both his employer and News24.com called for strong action, saying that he had merely intended the story as a prank to be played on his cousins, who are ardent fans of both Hrithik Roshan and Shah Rukh Khan.

The prankster said he had never expected the e-mail to be spread so widely, and was shocked himself to learn of the chaos he had created.

Fans here were furious at Singh's prank.

"It was the sickest thing to do. How would he feel if someone spread news like that to his family and friends - that he had died while he was still very much alive?" said Fatima Laher, admitting that she had burst into tears when her friend Resham Dhorat sent her the e-mail at her workplace.

"I sent it to at least twenty of my friends and family who, like me, are diehard Shah Rukh fans," Dhorat said.

"This man is mad to do a thing like this."

Shah Rukh Khan a loving dad at heart

He may be a Bollywood superstar but, up close and personal, Shah Rukh Khan is just a normal dad who dotes on his children.

Shah Rukh Khan, the leading Indian actor who warms hearts with his dimpled smile and suave moves, visited the Naza World showroom in Jalan 51A/221 here yesterday with his wife Gauri, their two children, and an entourage.
