congrats to kedah fc. however, i won't pay too much attention to the ranking as it's really misleading. the ranking is based on points of the tournaments each team played in (respective to the continents) and does not represent the real strength of the teams. for example, if liverpool, ac milan, real madrid, etc. don't make to uefa tournaments, they will most probably rank lower than south east asia clubs that made to afc tournaments.
i don't think kedah can beat manchester city nor ajax if they are playing against either clubs with full strength squad. i don't even think kedah can beat al-hilal or al-ittihad of saudi arabia, as they are better clubs than kedah but they ranked lower.

pengiraan ini berdasarkan mata untuk menentukan rangking sesebuah pasukan
sememangnya kedah hanya bermain dalam liga malaysia dan juga afc cup,pasukan lemah jer bertemu kedah boleh la kutip point menampakan kutipan agak bias bg pasukan ternama lain mcm cik oobi ckp
sebenarnya mata ni dikira pun berdasarkan liga yg dimain oleh pasukan tersebut...
liga tersebut dah di gredkan sebenarnya

PETALING JAYA: Malaysia have failed to meet the criteria and standards set by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Pro-League ad-hoc committee, who have recommended 11 countries for eligibility to field teams in the AFC Champions League next year.
Japan, South Korea, Australia, China, Indonesia, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Iran and India have been confirmed as participants after a thorough assessment of their eligibility for a competition that would be revamped to go along completely professional lines.
The ad-hoc committee chairman Saburo Kawabuchi said on Tuesday that the recommendations made by them were based on inspections and assessments of 21 members associations.
"We have had long, fruitful discussions and our goal is to create an attractive competition that will take Asian football to new heights," he said.
The AFC president Mohamed Hammam (pic) said that Asian football needed a big reformation process to make it professional and successful.
"I know that radical changes might not please everybody. But we must have the courage of conviction," he said.
The assessment was based on 10 aspects |

i don't think i misunderstand. that's why i said i won't pay much attention to the ranking because of the way it's graded. it's a moral victory for kedah to be in the ranking but it doesn't tell the real story of the strength of a team.
if you read my statement carefully, you understand what i meant.
