true - we do not hafta speak exactly like an English
besides u know that there're a lot of people with different dialects
of English but still can pronounce the words correctly --
be it English, American, Canadian, Spanish, Chinese --
and Malaysian ---
as long as you know what you are talking about --
and you can pronounce the word correctly --
that's what matters -- |

i agree coz when i was in school, our english teacher made us sing Sheena Easton 'the telephone' remember the song? long long distance love affair..and then the song by The Police, ' Every breath you take'. All bcoz she wanted us to improve our pronouncation and enriched our vocabulary. Probably some you might not know the song..it was in the 80's... he he i am that old huh! |

English is largely a borrowed language. Mostly from German, Latin, French a bit greek and other language. That's why it's so unnecessarily complicated and illogical.
It becomes an International Language largely because of political, socio-economical燼nd爃istorical factor.
Maybe爋ne燿ay燼nother爈anguage爓ill燽ecome燼s爓idely爑sed燼nd燽ecome燼n爄nternational爈anguage.牋There are too many resource in English... so english it is for now... |

i just want to share my experience for this week. i think i was cursed with bad luck. why did i said that?
imagine you're in my shoes.
on wednesday night your handphone Nokia 6600 was stolen in your room and you're out only for less then 10 minutes and until now you don't know who is/are the culprit (no, your purse is safe because you keep it in the bag and the thief/thieves didn't noticed, but your hp is on the desk).
before that, on the afternoon, during your lunch, you got toothache and it was the painful thing you ever had and you almost crying.
(forgot to mention you sort of isolated from the world as you lost your hp and you can't contact everyone, vice versa because you didn't write in your mind their number)
friday was a quiet day for you, nothing happened but you dream that you got your hp back (what a sweet dream, i never thought i said this but a dream that i found my lost hp is the best dream i ever had)
so, saturday, you went to the town by bus. unexpectedly the tyre was exploded and the bus run without a tyre (everyone, this is a true story!) but luckily the street was empty and the bus stop immediately and nobody was hurt (phew!)
so you have to wait for another bus to fetch you in about 30 minutes. so you're stranded in the middle of nowhere, no hp, no umbrella (it was a sunny day) and you just alone by youself.
finally you arrived at the town with one piece of you body (thank god). then you went back to your room also by bus (this time the trip is safe) only to find out there is no water (not to drink).
everything happen in just one second. the next thing you notice, you lost something very precious. you thougt you gonna meet and accident but you survive.
tell me, what's the worse could happen?
and for that i will answer proudly, i will survive! |
