Kalau tengok pada ramai yg pakai mmg Windows yg akan dapat vote majority .. kalau aku tak pernah pakai MAC OSX, aku juga akan vote XP

Tapi ...

Once u use MAC OSX, it gives u an entirely different eXPeriences.

Ni aku setuju. Tapi...

IMO, walaupun Mac nyer interface/style wayyyy lagi cun dari Windows, still navigation dia tu not as intuitive as Window's. In fact aku guna Windowblinds to skin Windows aku to rupa cam MacOSX's, guna RKLauncher to dapatkan Dock features and install AveDesk to emulate the rest of the interface.

Stability both OSes sama... OSX/XP tak pernah hang/crash lagi.

Still... XP is more customizable dari OSX. Tu yang buat aku prefer XP than OSX.

Vista? Dah try dah. Aku dah happy ngan stability/features ngan my current XP... laju giler dah ngan my 2GB RAM... buat apa nak install Vista and dapat an equivalent 1GB RAM on my XP? :hmm:

Linux? Hehe... even kalau Adobe kuarkan sumer software dia for Linux pun aku still tak guna tu kat my PC.

for me, mula kenal mac masa awal tahun 80an dulu. terpegun masa tu bila tengok peta semenanjung malaysia boleh dikuruskan dan digemukkan. lepas tu, kat uni pun mostly gunakan mac - sebab apple  ...
one thing about mac i always like is its graphic. dari awal 80an sampai sekarang, still the best - tapi for animation, i'll go with sgi. but, tak taulah macamana after it adopted intel processor. dengar cerita, kurang sikit.

IMO about Macs being better for graphics was true dulu. No way PCs boleh lawan Macs then....but 2000 onwards, PCs' speed and processor power dah greatly improved and, seriously, I now prefer the PC over a Mac for graphics. Heck this G5 OSX box I have next to me here in my office is only used because it's got a wayyy bigger monitor than my PC... otherwise it'll just stay there collecting dust. Sad, huh?

Ooo... SGI... that's what wet dreams are made of... havent touched one in years. Gilerbabi bestnyer buat animation... sad the company I worked for then kena tutup kedai. If not I'll probably still be there fondling my SGI...

semalam masa i balik kerja, tgh sembang2x ngan kawan, ada gak tersentuh pasal SGI nie.. SGI nie banyak build technology and make it Open Source..

kalau SGI tak develop OpenGL, mungkin maybe no DirectX, cause that time microsoft tak nampak potential to develop multimedia API..

OpenGL skang being widely used in many systems, Mac, Linux, Playstation3, nintendo wii...

XFS file systems, journaled file systems in 64 bit, sesuai untuk enviroment system dimana large file lebih dari 4GB dalam satu kuantiti yang begitu banyak...that's why XFS file systems is so advanced and being made as de facto standard for Graphics/Video & CGI workstation enviroment.

you're right. never thought about that. without OpenGL, we'll never see DirectX.
