Spiral Curry Puffs

Ingredients
For water dough:

400g plain flour

225ml water mix with 1/4 tsp salt

2 tbsp shortening or margarine

For oil dough:

200g plain flour

150g margarine or shortening-----------> yg ni kurangkan jadi 100-120 gm pun dah ok

For filling:

400g potatoes, cubed and cooked till soft

200g big onions, cubed

3 tbsp curry powder

1 tbsp chilli boh

2 sprigs curry leaves

1 tbsp vegetarian oyster sauce

Salt and sugar to taste

A dash of pepper
Method
To make water dough: Place flour in a mixing bowl. Rub in shortening and add in the water. Knead into a smooth dough.leave aside to rest for 10 minutes. Divide into 24 equal portions.

To make oil dough: Rub shortening or margarine into the flour to form an oily dough. Divide into 24 equal portions.

To combine into pastry: Wrap oil dough inside water dough.(Biarkan 1 jam -ikut stail K.Dewi)

Flatten the dough and roll up. Repeat the process. Cut the rolled-up dough into two. Use a rolling pin to press it flat. Shape into a circle. Add filling and seal the sides. Pinch the edges to form a scallop design. Deep fry puffs in medium hot oil.

To make filling: Heat pan with 2 tbsp oil. Fry all the ingredients till fragrant. Add 1/2 tbsp water and fry till dry. Leave to cool.

tu dia nooo ~ siap sound effect lagik!

Dah buat dah resepi kak Dewi  - memang menjadi. Berlapis lapis - esok eden nak goreng lepas tu nak hantar dkt satu kedai bakery. Suruh taukey tu rasa ..kalau dia setujuk eden nak jadi suplier karipap Malaysia utk kedai dia hahaha Cik Noor jangan tak tau, saya ni jeles tengok cik Noor berniaga. Tapi my Abe ckp fikir 100 x sebab dia takut saya hantar seminggu lepas tu angkat bendera putih.

Sekarang tengah mencanai kulit dia - susah jugak nak buat cone mecone tu ek. Lepas tu saya punya pandai 700 gm tepung tu saya bubuh air - bila terlembek mulalah tambah tepung. Last last mau dkt 800 gm adunan tepung biasa. Sekarang bercinta nak mengabiskan balen dough/pastry tu ... tercabut tangan den ni ha

Gambar? esok lah ya kawan kawan - eden kena masak utk makan malam pula. Kang dok berposing ambil gambar bagai harus ''abe'' den makan karipap as his dinner food.

Tata --- jangan jeles eden punya kalipap saiz L - rasa rasa satu bijik tu eden nak jual 0.80 seng. (ceyyyyyyy angan angan jer lah sekalik tuan bakery tu tak hingin langsung nak jual kalipap ni) :nyorok:

wah2...sonok nya dia karipap pusing nya dah menjadi...saiz L lagi..kena sebijik harus kenyang sampai ke petang hehehhe..

bagus lah Dar...ce try test dulu..buh kat kedai..kalu sambutan memberansangkan..jd saudagar karipap lah pulak yer...k Noor tolong bg peransang dr jauh je...untung tau meniaga karipap nih...:bodek:

gambo mana tak sabor nak tengok karipap US nih..:bgrin:

laaa...resepinya mudah aje kan...doh yg buh shortening tuh jgn buh air langsung hanya shortening semata2 dan doh air tuh..hanya buh air ..kena print dan bawak ke dapur baru faham..akak sambil buat sambil refer gambo step by step tuh..

ooo abt 120 - 150 gm crisco/spry+ margerin  tu shortening lah yee....

ok, boleh le try. tapi lama tak ngulinye. Agak2 kak noor, ummi nih dah boleh mengguli ker
bimbang gak..

doh air tuh payah sket...kena uli lama sket..

ummi uli pelan2..jgn kasar2..kalau rasa tak larat...jgn buat dulu..kasi betul2 sihat...kalu tak buat 1/2  adunan ke dulu..

horayyyyyyyy!!!! long day tau wat karipap pusing!!!! berbanyak terimakasih dewi  for resepi dan  tunjuk ajar dan kawan2 kat sini for your tips..karipap long buat inti keledek..sedap arrr.walaupon x cantik  tapi rasa garing macam noor kater krup krap krup krap...dan  saiz pula  ada s, m dan l..nak kena praktis lagi la...kawan2 long  esp. mat2 saleh yg datang rumah hari sabtu baru ni suka sangat..habis 30 bijik depa makan 4 orang!

Karipap Pusing(Dewi)

long,macam janji jer kita wat karipap pusing ni..zie punya pun first time.
zie tak letak crisco/shortening..tak sempat nak gi beli..and dia punya pusing pun tak cantik macam orang lain punya.
dah ikut step by step..step masa potong ngan pisau tu..cantik jer lapisannya..agaknya teknik mencanai last step memainkan peranan buat lapisan yang cantik..agaknya ganas sangat zie 'tenyeh'.

cantik jugak karipap zieA tu.. maybe tak der shortening pusing2 tu tak menyerlah sgt... time nak leperkan lepas potong tu mmg tak leh ganas zieA .. dewi gelek 2 kali jer time tu ...

gelek sekali dia jadik bujur.. angkat dan pusing kan gelek sekali lagi bulat lah dia..
