Recently Black Eyed Peas’ rapper Will.i.am sat down with Cambio for an interview where he discussed “i am FIRST: Science is Rock and Roll”, a TV special he had been working on.
In the special Will.iam places the spotlight on the U.S. First robotics program, where young people are encouraged to work toward achieving academic excellence in science. Will.i.am dubs these young scientists the “rock stars of the future”.
Even though the main focus of the interview was that of technology of the future, it didn’t take too long for popular Korean girl-group 2NE1 to pop-up in the conversation. Here is what was said:
“As for his next project, will.i.am is looking to countries outside the U.S. as inspiration. We asked him about one of the groups he’s producing, Korean group 2NE1.
“Ooh. K-pop. You want to talk about technology? The Koreans, in South Korea… that’s the future,” he said. “South Korea, boom. On the next level. Go check it out. K-Pop, that industry is exciting. 2NE1, that’s why I signed those girls and am producing them, to blow them up outside of Korea. 2NE1 has to be big in Brazil, America, England, Canada, Australia, everywhere. That’s my next project after ‘i am FIRST’.”
This has brought up the question, how soon will it be before we experience this 2NE1 global takeover? Well for starters it has been announced that the ladies will be heading to Japan to debut in September. To kick things off they have released a Japanese version of their previous hits, “I Am The Best” and “Hate You”. As for their Japanese release is set for release on September 19th, followed by their first concert which is scheduled for the end of September running through early October. So the true answer is still unknown.
Be sure to keep up with 2NE1 by watching 2NE1 TV Season 3.

Sandara Park added, “Chaerin was a charming, and a studious mother’s friend’s daughter! However, there was a student who was jealous of her…Dun Dun“.
In the picture that Sandara Park had posted along with this story, CL is flirtatiously posing for the camera while wearing a fitted school uniform.
Continuing on with the story, Sandara Park posted, “Self promoted best fighter of the school, Dal Ohng, was envious of popular Chaerin! Dal Ohng tried to bully Chaerin and take her money! ‘Yah! Give me 500won!’ But…but.. I don’t care! replied Chaerin” along with a second picture.

A billboard starring 2NE1 has been spotted recently in Sacramento, the capitol city of California. Several K-Pop fans have reported sighting the large advertisement and were surprised that there would be a public display of a K-Pop artist in a city not as well-known internationally as Los Angeles, San Francisco, New York City, and Seattle.
Located near a Starbucks on a busy intersection, the billboard stands out with its bright green and pink colors. The image of 2NE1 from their “I Don’t Care” era is used for Mnet’s advertisement for their channel on Comcast’s Xfinity TV. According to Comcast California, Mnet America began airing on July 27th. The 24/7 English channel airs programs such as series, MVs, movies, anime, sports, and more. It makes sense that Mnet would use 2NE1′s face as they broadcast their reality show “2NE1TV” on the channel.
For those interested in viewing the billboard, it can be found by the intersection of Sutterville Road and Freeport Boulevard in Sacramento.
On August 20th, 2NE1’s Dara shared proof shots after she attended her little brother Thunder’s ‘MEN IN MBLAQ‘ concert.
On her Me2day, Dara wrote, “On my way back to the company building after watching Gaeddong’s concert. I’m thankful for the members for balancing out our rehearsal schedule so that I could take time off from our busy schedule to go. Thankfully, I had a lot of fun. I’m excited and looking forward to our concert now that I’ve felt the energy of a concert. I’m ready.”
She continued to write, “I bought a light stick and waved it around, enjoying the concert. Right before the last track, I teared up when they were making their final comments. Sob sob. Something just swelled up inside of me! Anyway, MBLAQ was so amazing today! And good job! But Gaeddong.. You didn’t look at me once when I was waving my hand so hard at you.”
In the pictures, Dara is seen in casual clothes holding up support tools for her younger brother. Netizens commented, “The siblings look so close together”, and “Such a beautiful face even without make up”.
