basic tart shell - 35 pcs
1 cawan butter
2 1/2 cawan tepung gandum

cara :
1. campur tepung gandum, gula aising dan butter ke dalam mangkuk. gaul rata.
2. masukkan kuning telur.
3. jadikan doh. simpan dalam fridge utk 1 jam.
4. then boleh terap dan bakar.

Simple Apple Pie Without Shortening
Hi..
ni first time aku buat Apple Pie..
Mod klu dah ada thread utk pie..merge kan..
aku malas nak search...
ok...first of all..
i want to tell you all a story dulu...for inspiration.
ok..mula2..in my whole entire life..i never made a pie..
and never bake a pie before..
cuma aku salu bake yg instant pie yg kat supermarket jerk..
i'm like you all...takut nak buat kek..sebab takut salah..tak menjadi..burn la apa .a......and wasting jerk...
klu korg tu penakut cam aku...
you all can experiment...buat mini pie..jangan buat grandnyer..
so...dad bought a lot of green apples..
so...i decided to give it a try..
first..aku pi kat internet...tengok recipe..
semua recipe guna shortening...and cakap klu pakai butter alone susah...nak kneed dier...
and...aku rasa...sedih sikit..cos..aku bukan experience baker..and didn't know what to do..klu susah nak kneed...
kat rumah cuma ada butter and marjerin..
so...aku nak try buat mini apple pie...for experiment purpose..aku wat kecil2an jerk..tak nak buat besar..
kat rumah..tak da dish pie..
so aku improvised..if you all don't have a pie dish...cam ni cara aku buat pie dish..
aku amik aluminium foil...and then..lipat2 dier sampai dier tebal..
then i take a small little bowl utk cecah..salu..
aku terus...letak foil yg telah dilipat tu..tekan2 sampai ikot bentuk bowl tu..
then aku terus gunting lebihan aluminium tu..
ok...aku nyer pie crust...
aku main anggar2 jerk...sebab aku buat mini pie...kecikkkkk ajerk...
first.aku amik tepong gandum...
then...aku amik butter and marjerin..
but aku letak..air suam sikit jerk....i found out that...water..it will disintegrate the flour..so..betul2 sikit jerk air...cam...1 table spoon...
klu korg nak crust dier lembut..korg pakai air suam...klu nak dier flaky..korg guna ice water....
put everything in a bowl..
then aku mix it..
i didn't have any parchment paper..supaya bila aku rolling nanti...dier tak melekat...
so aku improvise..
aku sembur board tu ngan tepong gandum..
and sembur tepong gandum tu kat rolling pin..
first aku start to kneed the dough...
klu aku tengok dier..lembik sangat...moist sangat..
aku tambah sikit tepong..
klu dier....cam...kering sangat...aku letak butter lagi..
sampai dier sederhana...you all tau la..
then aku bulatkan dier...cover it with aluminium foil..letak lam fridge..
aku ikot jerk lam internet...dier cakap soh letak lam fridge...tapi kejap jerk..sebab dier cepat mengeras....5 min cam tu..
klu lama sangat...nanti susah nak rolling..dier keras cam batu...
aku klu mixture tu lembek sangat...aku letak lam fridge balik...
then aku start rolling cepat2..
sebab aku tak der parchment paper..utk pisahkan dier dari board..
aku amik pisau besar but nipis...
then...aku kikis..dough yg lepas kene rolling tu..dgn cantik sekali..
then cepat2 letak kat pie dish..
then aku potong buah green apple kecik2 mix it with sugar syrup..
then lontarkan lam pie tu..
letak sugar sikit atas apple tu
then...aku wat pie cover..yg jenis lattice tu...yg belang2 nyer jenis tu
then aku letak lam oven toaster..250 degrees
then....masak selama 15 mins.
well...pie ni..dier nyer pie crust texture..
kat bawah moist..sebab...sugar syrup and maybe..fruit juice tu absorbed masok bawah pie..
kat atas dier crunchy...sedap...cepat patah...
klu berbanding ngan bakerstreet nyer pie crust..
aku rasa dorg guna shortening jerk..
i never like dier nyer crust..sebab crust atas dier chewy...susah nak koyakkan..guna gigi..and tak sedap..
you all jangan takut baking..takut buat mistake..
you all wat kecik2..and sentiasa check2 lam oven pie tu..takut hangus..

hai,
sy ni org baru...teruja sgt bila baca tread ni so sy pun cuba ler last weeek wat fruit tart.....ni ikut resepi kak hanieliza...
fruitnya tak menarik sbb buah tu aje yg ada kat dlm fridge.....
bawa g opis, kawan2 kata sedap....

aku sumpah seranah....berabis...sebab...aku letak dough tu..for 1 hour..
bila aku nak rolling...aku mengamok terus..
sebab keras cam batu..
so..aku dah tau...the pros and cons...if you use..shortening and tak guna shortening..
klu tak pakai shortening...ko kejap jerk letak lam peti ais...
klu pakai shortening sejam letak lam peti ais..
klu guna shortening...leh letak byk2 air..
klu tak pakai shortening....letak betul2 sikit jerk air..klu letak byk...nanti hanco...tak menjadi..
aku rasa la..
aku lom pernah lagi pakai shortening...utk wat pie..
aku cuma tengok kat AFC tadih...tengok chef wat pie guna shortening..
dier letak byk air dlm...
and then dier letak lam peti ais..cam for 1 hour..

cook like a chef..
dier buat pie..
die wat lubang..kat base pie tu..takut kembang..
and then....dier siffed the flour dulu... |

today i bake my second pie..
and watch AFC tadih..
so aku bandingkan....pie aku yg tak pakai shortening and pie dier...yg pakai shortening tu.. |

apricot glaze ni kalau guna terus nanti berketul2 pulak atas buah.
kalau dicairkan dengan sedikit air, nanti xberapa perasan sgt yg buah tu dah diglaze dengan apricot glaze.
ini pendapat sy lah. |
