Good news for Twi-hards; judging by the tips “Twilight” stars Ashley Greene and Kellan Lutz shared with Access Hollywood about“New Moon” on Thursday night, it sounds like the second installment in the series will remain faithful to Stephenie Meyer’s book.
“I can tell you there’s a yellow Porsche,” Ashley revealed at the premiere of Dakota Fanning’s “Push,” confirming that the vehicle, which played a special role in the “New Moon” book, will be in the movie.
“I can tell you there’s werewolves,” she added coyly. “I think [the details of ‘New Moon’ script are] kind of highly under wraps.”
Ashley,who plays Alice Cullen, the sister of Edward Cullen, Robert Pattinson’s character, is expected to return alongside Kellan, who plays older brother Emmett Cullen.
“We are both confirmed to be a part of it,” he said before retracting only slightly. “I’m still waiting — crossing fingers.”

Jennie Garth Talks Husband Peter Facinelli’s ‘Twilight’ Future
LOS ANGELES, Calif. --
As Dr. Carlisle Cullen, the patriarch of the vampire Cullen family, Peter Facinelli plays an important role in “Twilight” — and his wife, “90210” star Jennie Garth, told Access Hollywood‘s Billy Bush in an interview for Access and “The Billy Bush Show” that fans will be seeing a lot more of him.
“Notso much in the second one, but in the third and the fourth one,” shesaid. “He’s just so happy to be a part of it and proud of it.”
But,she said, some young fans of the film may have seen too much of himalready — or at least her daughter Luca Bella, 11, thinks so.
“It’sso funny because my daughter has friends that have seen the movie andthey think that Dr. Carlisle is hot,” Jennie said. “She gets allweirded out, and like, ‘Eww, that’s my dad.’” 
The teen vampirefilm earned $69.6 million its opening weekend, a figure it has now shotwell past. Though Peter and stars Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewartwill be back for the sequel, “New Moon,” director Catherine Hardwickewill not — which came as a surprise to Peter and Jennie.
“I can’t understand it because she did an amazing job,” Jennie said.
SummitEntertaining announced that “The Golden Compass” director Chris Weitzwould be taking over the series on Saturday, after announcing thatCatherine would not be returning earlier in the week — even as she waspromoting the film overseas.
“It’s risky,” Jennie admitted, whohad nothing but praise for the director. “We were just talking about it— she did such an amazing job with [‘Twilight’] and the visual aspectof it. Everything was spot-on for that film and I hope they can kind ofkeep it in the same vein.”
In the meantime, Peter’s biggest fans are right at home — his three daughters, Luca Bella, 11, Lola Ray, 6, and Fiona, 2.
“They just can’t get enough of him,” Jennie said. “He loves it.” |
