Manager killed after car slams into tree
JITRA: A private hospital manager died after the car she was travelling in crashed into a tree at Jalan Darulaman Golf and Country Club in Bandar Darulaman here yesterday.
Jitra Specialist Centre manager Noor Halawiah Abdullah Shukri, 39, died at the scene.
Noor Halawiah, who is also the deputy chief executive officer of a company that produces health products, was believed to have been on her way from her house at Darulaman Heights to Bandar Darulaman.
Her husband, Dr Che Rozmey Che Din, 40, who is the hospital’s chief executive officer, said the last time he saw his wife was yesterday morning when she stopped by the office to finish some work.
“We spoke briefly before she left the office to send our new maid to our house in Darulaman Heights. She was on her way back to Bandar Darulaman when the accident happened,” he said when met at the Jitra Hospital mortuary yesterday.
The mother to three children, aged between six and 15, was buried at the Bandar Darulaman Muslim cemetery yesterday evening.
Kubang Pasu traffic investigating officer Insp Juhaisham Jusoh said Noor Halawiah was believed to have lost control of her vehicle.
He urged witnesses of the accident to call the nearest police station. |
