Massa delighted to return to podium

A highly pleased Felipe Massa finished on the rostrum at the Nürburgring on Sunday, returning to the podium for the first time since last year and at the track on which the Brazilian had first achieved a top three position behind Michael Schumacher and Fernando Alonso in 2006.
With last year's season-ending Brazilian Grand Prix having been the last in which Felipe Massa achieved a podium result, the 2008 runner-up was made up to have returned to the top three in Germany after finishing a strong fourth in Britain three weeks ago. "It was a fantastic race!" the Ferrari driver said in the post-race press conference. "I had a good start and passed many cars. I struggled a lot at the beginning with my tyres but managed to stay in front of Sebastian Vettel."

With the tyre issue threatening to drop the 28-year-old back into the pack, an efficient pit strategy coupled with sensible driving allowed Felipe to retain a top position. "I managed to put in a good pace with the second set of tyres," he explained. "That was very important - to have had a good pace in that stint. I am very happy! Everyone in the team did a good job on the strategy.

"A good result like this will motivate our team to keep working, pushing hard and prepare a good car for the end of the championship as well as a great car for next year.":pompom:

mmgler massa lebih motivasi skrg

aku tgk each driver Ferrari bersaing satu sama lain

aritu stefano akui antara sebab tahun 2009 ferrari tak kompetitif pasal diaorang tumpukan sepenuhnyer utk setup keta tahun 2008 dimana hasilnyer dapat constuctor championship dan develop kete utk tahun 2009 delay lama..

skrg diaorang dah stop utk development kete 2009 tuk tumpu pada setup utk season 2010

bravo Ferrari..kasih bungkus tapau penyek dalam tong sampah brawnGP/Redbull next year

Massa has 'positive' emergency surgery on skull damage

Felipe Massa has undergone 'positive' emergency surgery after suffering skull damage and concussion in his high-speed accident during qualifying for the Hungarian GP.

In a short statement, Ferrari confirmed that the 'Outcome of the procedure was positive' and that Massa would remain in observation in intensive care.

Massa was injured after being hit by a piece of debris that is believed to have fallen off the rear of Rubens Barrichello's Brawn. He then, whilst already apparently unconscious in his Ferrari, slammed into a tyre wall.

Ferrari will release a further update on his condition on Sunday morning.

Immediately after he was air-lifted to hospital in Budapest, Ferrari revealed that their driver "was conscious at the arrival at the hospital and his general conditions remain stable.

"Following a complete medical examination it emerged that he had suffered a cut on his forehead, a bone damage of his skull and a brain concussion. These conditions need to be operated on."

It's believed that the force of the impact when Massa hit the tyre-wall resulted in a suspension failure that in turn caused the side of his helmet visor to be ripped off. Massa suffered cuts just above his left eye. The eye itself is not thought to have been damaged during the accident.

Massa in 'life-threatening condition'
Felipe Massa has been described as being in a "serious, life-threatening but stable" condition by the doctors who carried out emergency surgery on his fractured skull.

Massa underwent surgery on Saturday night after being hurt in a high-speed crash during qualifying for the Hungarian GP.

'Medical director Peter Bazso said at a news conference that "Massa's condition is serious, life-threatening but stable."

'Bazso and chief surgeon Lajos Zsiros say they expect Massa to be awoken Sunday.'

The Brazilian was injured after being hit by a piece of debris that is believed to have fallen off the rear of Rubens Barrichello's Brawn.
