Madridistas Demand Cristiano Ronaldo
Real Madrid fans were asked in an online poll who they would have loved to see in their current squad and the answer was expectedly resounding.
A survey was conducted by Marca.com last Wednesday to ascertain the opinions of the Real Madrid fans about the club’s current squad.
And the general summary of the result is that the aficionados are less than happy with the team at present, expressing their particular dissatisfaction with president, Ramón Calderón’s failure to bring in any substantial reinforcements during the summer transfer window.
Of the 20,000 internet users polled, 42% said that they would have liked to have Cristiano Ronaldo in the team. Only 16%, on the other hand, said that they wanted to see Robinho back.
The most resounding number, however, was the 89% who demanded that the club re-enter the winter transfer market to strengthen the team.
This is no doubt a direct response to sports director Predrag Mijatovic, who several weeks ago announced that at this stage of the season, the board will not be making any signings in January.
