ERIKA invited to Led Zeppelin concert
Mon, November 12, 2007 (7:21pm EST)

Actress and singer Erika Sawajiri has received a special invitation to the Led Zeppelin reunion concert in London, which was originally scheduled for the 26th of this month but has been postponed until December 10.
Sawajiri is a huge fan of the legendary band. In her profile on her official artist website, Led Zeppelin is the only artist listed as her musical influence. But with tens of millions of fans around the world entering the lottery for the concert's 20,000 tickets, her chances of seeing them in concert looked slim.
However, Led Zeppelin's record company in Japan was looking to promote the band among the younger generations, so they decided to invite a celebrity with a lot of influence among young people. Based on her popularity and her love of the band, Sawajiri was selected. She instantly accepted the offer, saying it was a "dream come true."

Naomi Kawashima headed for marriage
Tue, November 13, 2007 (4:49pm EST)

47-year-old actress Naomi Kawashima is said to be on the path to marriage. She is expected to announce her engagement by the end of the year.
Her partner, identified only as A-san, is five years younger than her. The pair met two years ago through a television show, though the man is not a celebrity. Because they share several common interests, such as cooking and wine, they quickly became good friends.
The turning point in their relationship came this past June, when a man with a knife broke into Kawashima's office demanding to see her. Troubled at the time, Kawashima found comfort most from A-san, strengthening their relationship. Last month, the two took a trip to France, where A-san reportedly proposed to her.
According to sources, the engagement announcement may occur as early as this month. The dates for their marriage and wedding will depend on their work schedules, but will likely be in the near future.
