Theway the first half went in terms of chances you wouldn't have beensurprised to see the scoreboard displaying 3-3 at half-time! Arsenalwere magnificent in the opening period and they deserve a lot of creditfor that, but you just felt that if we could get an early goal afterthe break then we'd go on and win it. Unfortunately, the goalwent the other way and in my opinion United's defence went walk-about.It was a great strike from Nasri, but it was a poor goal to lose.
Istill felt United had a great chance of winning even at 2-0, but weneeded Cristiano Ronaldo to put the golden opportunity he had justafter Arsenal's second away. If he scores, the game is well and trulyon and I'm sure things would have worked out differently. Idon't think Howard Webb helped United's cause by any means. He couldhave easily given us a penalty when Gael Clichy stuck his arm up toblock Wayne Rooney's cross. But the referee was clearly the only personin the ground who didn't see it. The goal that got us back into it from Rafael was an absolutely cracking strike, but it just came that little bit too late. Thedefeat is a blow, but there's a long way to go and I still believe thetitle will be between United and Chelsea in the end and I'm confidentwe can do it.
As always at Manchester United there's another game to look forward toand next up is QPR in the Carling Cup. I expect the manager to make alot of changes to his team on Tuesday with the likes of [Rodrigo]Possebon and Jonny Evans all coming in.
Hopefully we canbounce back with a victory and then make sure we get back on track inthe league against Stoke City on Saturday.
