enjoy yourself...kamala is also where i stay dulu..so bab makan tak yah was-was..satu kampong tu org islam..masjid pun ade..cuma ramai org sana tak tahu cakap malay atau inggeris..

i would to love to experience the village life...

actually,tall building don't turn me on...i rather be in a village than in a city...

ha ah betul tu kata ros..... kat kawasan tu semer rata2 org islam..... senang nak cari makanan halal..... kanan, kiri, depan dan belakang ade makanan halal..... nothing to worry ah..... and then kawasan tu ade 2 masjid.... so senang ah...... boleh dgr azan dgn kuatnye.... tak payah nak risau2 dah time sholat ke belom. kawasan surin and kamala dah dekat dgn patong.... yg kena tsunami tahun lepas.... now majoriti kawasannye dah ok.... ade still under renovation. kalo shopping2 kat kawasan tu..... ade yg tempat murah2.... ade yg tersgt mahal.
bang matz!.... jgn lupa bargain........ bargain jgn tak bargain :bgrin:

i don't shop in a big way.
i like to buy patch on ..you can iron those patches on your clothes,bags,caps .
i got plenty of that at home.i bought patches of the countries that i visited,i cuma belum jahit to my back pack.

bangkok...i like the export shop kat MBK....baju 100% cotton..pakai best

chatuchak...ni pun my favourite...it fascinates me.

pernah pergi Patong beach in 1998...drove all the way from jb ...some locals said itu la first time dorang tengok kereta proton masuk sana...masa kat sana ada gak pergi phi phi island...now both places dah totally wiped out kena tsunami..

transport in phuket....

most of the time i took the bus.it 20 bhat a trip.kalo stop mid way  its 10 to 15 bhat.
bus nya macam jeepney in manila...only thing is the bus is bigger.
some buses are like the small buses in singapore.
yang macam jeepney...the seats  are facing each other.i was with my wife...sekali this
lady duduk dia pakai short skirt...boleh nampak her pink panties.my mata ngantuk terbukak.on the whole it was fun trip.in the middle of the bus there a long bench about 8 inches high...kalo seats tepi tingkap sua full,passengers can sit at the bench.

from patong there's a  bus going to phuket town.journey about 35 minutes and its 20 bhat.at phuket town where the journey ends,ni macam interchange.from here,there are so many buses going to the other districts  in phuket.

CEMPEDAK....and other fruits

thais call it cempedak too.kat tepi jalan dorang ada banyak gerai2.for cempedak goreng
it's 5 for 10 bhat,dia goreng tarok sesame seed.sedap sekali...


lots of fruits vendors too at the road side.
for fruits it's 10 bhat for water melon,pineapple,papaya,guava,
for honey mango it  is 20 bhat.

kat patong beach....

nampak ayer tenang,but on that fateful day...ramai yang korban.
i was at this shopping centre...there was a plaque on the wall...dia tarok..

in memory of all who died on the 26.12.2004


kat tepi ada this lady jual bag....so far this is the cheapest shop i saw.
it's 100 bhat for a lady hand bag yang kulit nya like thai silk.

i ask her,miss, you around when the tsunami struck.

her reply.....i scared...she showed me her arm...dia kata bulu roma berdiri.
water very high..i run fast fast...


kalo the tsunami happen at night...lebih parah...the beach is dark...
kalo ombak besar datang....you don't know what hit you.
if you are infront on the shops...no way you can escape...seram jugak....

muslims in phuket....

they are very enterprising...saw banyak business with muslim owners.

there are laundry and provision shops run by muslims.they have private cars that  take tourists for trips round the island too.

kalo small restaurants run by muslims...there are plenty....


the old timers.some of them speak to me in malay.....the young ones they talk in thai language.i went into a muslim village...first time masok kampung thai...rumah kayu cantik2..garden with flowers in bloom....best betul suasana kampung.
sangkar burung pun catik2....


in every kampung they have a provision shop.i saw lots of people makan breakfast and lunch in the shop.saw them eat alot of ulam2.

kalo u masok kampung...the villagers are curious too about you ??

they ask ...you from where ??? kalo you give them salam...dorang terperanjat jugak.

i was in this shop...i nak beli ice...this old man ask me......orang melayu ???
i said yes,and we talk in malay....ice yang i beli...dia tak nak ambik duit....

ROTI PRATA....

roti prata in phuket...di makan ngan condensed milk with gula.
i ask for curry...curry nya macam color kuah lemak

i saw the locals eat...terperanjat seh ...they put so much condensed milk with sugar...
