He looked around him and finally found a seat at the end of the hotel, all his colleagues and his friends are busy with their karaoke session. He sighed and looked out the window, the Penang Island looked pretty in the Christmas decoration, he had drove from Ipoh yesterday in order to join the headquarters for this celebration. He knew he should be happy now, he had a distinction in his MBA and his company had just promoted him as a Regional Sales & Marketing manager, his family was proud of him and everything at his home front is fine. He wanted to bring his wife for the Christmas party but suddenly his son was down by flu the day before and his wife refused to leave him with his parents. He went to the bar and asked for another drink, his third vodka shot for the night, even his wife had queried him on his drinking but he just assured her that he needed to unwind at night due to the new workload. As usual she never asked anything about his job, she never did share or discuss with him about his work and friends, she was just happy he brought back whatever material needs for the family. In the midst of the party, he felt alone, so lonely, he tried to forget the memories of her and the pain of finally accepting she no longer wants anything to do with him. As much as he wants to hate her for the action she took, he could not. She was and will always be his only love, 揇amn her, why oh why, she did it! |
