How to RIP DVD movies

Hey there guys!

I have almost all kinds of tv-series, movies, operas, shows, cartoons on dvds.. Most, rather a few only are the ones which are not original dvd print... Rest all of them are dvds..

I have a dedicated line, i.e. 1600 KB/s down speed and 1000 KB/s up speed... So can upload and download anything i wish for...

Just want to sart with the suggestion that I love this forum.. So i want to help it too..

Suppose now I have nip tuck seasons on dvd... Each file is very very large for most of the users here to download... So i saw a few files which are like 200 MB or so... And the original DVD movies compressed to 700 MB size approximately... Wow man! And the quality is PERFECT...


SO if someone could tell me a way, how to do it! I am willing to upload my collection here..

RAPIDSHARE, Megaupload, MegaShare, YouSendIT, etc... You name it ! I upload it

I hope that some of you experts would help me on this!

i would like to recommend u to convert it using XViD.avi or DivX format.
the compression and the quality is superb.

use DiVX 6 Pro or get the free XViD converter from this topic:

Orait...after u install the Divx codecs..i suggest u try this software...BackupDVD
The software lets you convert direct DVD from ur dvdrom to .avi/mpeg1/mpeg2

hmm...software BackupDVD tu bole custom berapa saiz yng dikehendaki untuk setiap split file...boleh set berapa mb utk setiap split...terpulang ler...
tapi divx ada 5 quality...poor/good/balance/extreme/insane
lagi tinggi quality=hasil file saiz lagi kecik+gamba lagi cun+ambik masa lama nk convert
oklaa...aku pernah try convert dvd movie 2jam dgn mnggunakan quality extreme = 13jam nk convert
tahlaa...pc aku x power kot

Simpledivx cuma amik masa max 3jam saja utk convert dvd movie ke avi dgn encoder XViD.divx.

yg best, kita boleh setkan size output. contohnya, nak jadikan dvd movie tu ke 700MB supaya muat utk 1cdr. macam yg selalu jumpa kat torrent lah. banyak 700MB kan? nak lebih besar pun ada, split every specified minutes pun ada (refer Tab 5 dalam tutorial guides). codec encoder pun ada banyak.

Bagi korang yang nak rip DVD silalah gunakan perisian PERCUMA ini iaitu Handbrake.  Aku pakai Mac OSX dan anak aku pakai Dell Windows Vista.  Intetfasenya adalah perbezaan sedikit tetapi kualiti video dan audionya sama.  Malah korang boleh pilih apa subtitle yang nak dipaparkan dalam fail movie yang korang rip tuh.

One of the best of it's kind!  And most important is it FREE!
