nak disablekan delete or cancel printing job (software or registry ? )

camna nk kasi org tak boleh delete print jobs ni...biasanya kalau right click kat 'Document Name" pastu tekan CANCEL terus print job tu terdelete...so how to disable from being deleted..


ada cara tak??? -- software atau just using registry....

kalau takde cara atau software, saya nk tanya boleh tak HIDE kan icon 'Printers and Faxes' kat control panel tu... (Start --- Control Panel --- Printers and Faxes)

adik aku suka guna printer aku...aku tak suka...dia ada printer sendiri lagi mau kacau aku punya...

kalau blok guna admin akaun so that pc tu langsung tak boleh nak access lah ekk kalau bukan admin access kan...

masalahnya aku tak kisah adik aku guna pc aku tp tak boleh print...aku dah warning dia tapi dia degil...so kalau dia print jugak pastu dia delete printing job tu aku tak tau then...camne nk kasi takleh delete arr?

aku warning adik aku supaya jgn guna printer aku tp dia degil...so kalau disablekan benda ni dia tak boleh cancel printing job after he prints out anything...catridge printer aku mahal...!!!!!! dia suka habiskan...

printer ko sharing ke? kalo sharing, disable je sharing tu.
kalo tak sharing, ko nak kuar gi memana, ccabut je plug printer tu simpan dlm laci-kunci.
takpun cabut katrij tu simpan lam laci.

try this:

1. right click on the printer and choose properties
2. click security tab
3a. select the group that your username/login is apart of and uncheck allow manage documents, or;
3b. click advanced; under permission tab, edit existing login or add your new login credential and set appropriate permission (uncheck manage documents and/or manage printers).

you may want to create and login using separate credential so that other user can't change the setup and exclude the credential from local admin group. this way, other user can login to your computer without you having to worry your computer is being compromised, and you can always use "run as" (right click) on an app whenever you want to run it as local admin.

note: this is assuming that you have window xp pro. i'm not sure if windows xp home has the same capability (i believe so). vista, i think it should have the same capability.
