Man survives fall from high-rise flat
Still dazed: A resident helping Saw after he fell from the eighth floor of a block of flats in Macallum Street Ghaut, Penang.
GEORGE TOWN: A man miraculously survived a fall from a high-rise flat in Macallum Street Ghaut here.
Saw Hoe Joo, 57, sustained facial and hand injuries after the zinc roof of a motorcycle park broke his fall.
He was believed to have fallen down from the eighth floor of the block where he lives with his siblings.
Residents and passers-by immediately rushed to his aid upon realising that he was still alive in the 5pm incident yesterday.
They alerted his family members and called the ambulance.
Saw was in a daze when his siblings, who rushed down from their unit, asked him about the fall and where he had fallen off from.
He was then sent to the Penang Hospital for treatment.
It is learnt that the incident occurred when his sister was asleep at home. |
